Mini Jango Helmet & armor HELP

I just bought a mini fett helmet that I will be making into a Jnago for my boy..
    just a couple of questions?

--what are the colors that I need to use (raddle can specific colors please) or is there other products

--the pin strip..how or where can I get the pin strip...don't want to paint it (no steady hand)

--weathering: need to dirty up the jango helmet and armor...any techniques or materials I should use?

--I need to get a girth belt for my little guy (6 yrs old)

--does any one have a template that I can shrink down for the gun holster. This is has been very hard to find

I looked for awhile for threads relating to my questions but could not find any... Thanks

    Tubachris told me about these.
Krylon "short cuts" ocean blue (I can only find this at Ace hardware) and rustolium "Royal blue," home depot or lowes? My helmets cold casted so I don't need silver but I had gotten a nice silver chrome from walmart I believe rustolium. I think the weathering is acrylic paint but I'm sure some of the pros here could elaberate.

    Pin stripe contact ASOK.

Girth belt if you look at womens belts in places like goodwill you might find something close obviously not 501st but for a 6yo should be just fine.

if you've got a good straight edge and a sharp exacto blade you could make the pin striping out of electrical tape. i think it's supposed to be about 3/32" to 1/8" thick. just be sure not to stretch it too much when you're applying it to the helmet.

I painted my son's helmet black first, then masked off the blue areas. I then misted Rustoleum "metallic silver" over it at random. Don't worry about uniform coverage, because you want a hint of dark showing through here and there for depth. Next, I overmisted with Design Masters "Platinum". The platinum doesn't have any metal flake to it, so it really dulls down the silver to give a nice weathered effect--just don't over do it. I got the "metallic silver" at Home Depot, and the "Platinum" at Michael's. For the mandibles, ears, and rangefinder, I used Krylon "Oxford Blue", then Krylon "Global Blue" for the rest--both from Wal-Mart.

I think you can use pinstripes from a auto store. Rub-n buff from a craft store and the blues from hardware stores. good luck.

SEEKER has a color chart for the Jango helmet... and here it is.

How well does the Rub 'n Buff hold up with kid costumes? I was worried it would rub off on everything, but if holds up, I might go back and do on my kid's helmet.

Rub-n-buff holds up pretty good, once it's set. If you're really that worried about it coming off on every thing, here's what I did...

    1. Buff the silver leaf Rub-n-buff until you get the desired shine.
    2. Pour some Future floor wax into a small disposable cup.
    3. Using a dollar store foam brush, lightly coat the silver areas with the future floor wax.

Once it's dry, which doesn't take long, you'll have a nice durable finish that won't allow any color transfer and won't dull the shine.

It won't take you hours of buffing to get that nice shiny look. SEEKER posted up a link to a tutorial that he made on forming armor and how to rub-n-buff.

All you need to do is use the palm of your hand to buff it. The heat generated from the friction of your skin on the helmet is enough to melt the wax in the rub-n-buff and give you that mirror-like finish. Afterwards, simply wash your hands with mild dish soap to remove the rub-n-buff from your hands.

There IS no better alternative that I would recommend.
