A little guidance for new UK member

New Hunter
Hi all,

I am completely new to this type of modelling, but have been looking through the forums and have decided to embark on making a Jango suit for my 6 year old son. I have been messing about with some Pepakura files to see how easy they are and what alternatives are out there (just finishing the jet pack initial card build). After reading the forums I have now ordered a few A3 sheets of Foamex (seems to be the UK variant of Sintra), and am going to see how easy this is to work with.

Whilst looking around for ideas and build techniques, the main problem I seem to have encountered is around the templates and scaling. Does anyone know if A4 templates are available and the maths will work to scale for a kid, or am I better using the pep files adjusted to act as templates ?
Is there a way to convert the letter to A4 ?

May see how this progresses as my mate is also interested in SW and his 8 year old is a big Boba fan. Could see two builds for both the lads to act as pilots for the adults.

Overall the idea is to build a pretty accurate version, without getting tied up on trying to source accurate details, spend a fortune on something he wont fit in 12 months !

Thanks
Woody

wizard of flight here on the forums has some really good templates for packs, armor, and helmets. I selected "no scaling" and they turned out fine for me (i wear a 7 1/4 hat).
