And i have been looking around for who creates flight suits and I have seen so far Bobamaker, Bleahhh, and crazy4bobafett

So far the pics that i have seen of the vests are really light blue

And i don't wanna get a suit that's too light blue and then be rejected again by the 501st. Cause they say i need one that is a blue/purple. like below

i am aware that those three you listed are more than capable of recreating an accurate jango flightsuit, however, i don't have personal experience with their work, so i have to fall back to someone who's work i am familiar with: ladysewforus. i don't know 100% if she does a jango flightsuit, but i don't see why she wouldn't, it wouldn't hurt to ask. so there's my recommendation, but don't just take my word for it, i'm sure others will chime in with valid arguments for lsfu or other makers products.

Hey Polar, being a star garrison member myself...your best bet is to contact one of those suppliers (Bobamaker, LadySew4us, etc) and see if you can provide your own material for them to construct the jumpsuit for you. Then go to Joann's or a Hancock fabrics and find a material you are happy with and feel is the most accurate.

    Maybe something like this:

I had my flightsuit made out of fabric that I found. You may have to have a jumpsuit made and dye it the correct color as a lot of people do.

I bought a flightsuit off Bobamaker and dyed it. Ladysewforus I think makes Jango flightsuits. Suggest you pm her. Hope that helps.

Mine is a RedKap postman blue that I dyed and added the extra sleeves to, my next goal for it is to taper the legs, but other than that I am happy with it.

Maybe someone could really explain it to me.. I do not mean to offend anyone. IF everyone buys off color jango fett suits and then dyes them why doesn't someone just make them the correct color in the first place? Everything else that is made is totally awesome and accurate but it just seems the jumpsuits are not.

Cause it's hard to find the exact color of fabric. Foxbatkllr found some great fabric, but the rest of us just dye it to our liking. Lighting will change the color. Some pics they look blue, others they look purple. I have a LadyForUs suit.

Yes, Jango5204 is right, it is more of a "taste" thing... Seeker's suit is a very light purple, mine is a blueish, Jango5204 is a darker blue almost purple... I think as long as you get a lighter suit you'd be fine... you could even "try" stripping the color out of yours and then slowly add blue and purple RIT dyes to get it to your liking.

so the reason why people do a very light blue jumpsuit is that because it takes on the color easier when dying?

I think because it's an easy to find fabric. That simple. Navy is too dark, purple looks like BarneyFett, so the light blue is easy to work with and you can add a touch of purple to make it better.

Some models of Jango are also in blue. Might be part the reason why its blue also.

Its all about perception man. Just like there are atleast 20 different ESB Fetts on here, all with different colored jumpsuits. Different photos and lighting and other elements can make the suit look different colors at different times. While in the movie on Kamino he's drenched in water makes it look darker. So its really a personal preference to your color choice. I think your best bet is really to find a material in which YOU think is the closest to the true color, and have LadySew4Us or someone sew it for you using that material you found.

Yeah, it is all perception... I prefer a more blue suit, while others prefer purple... then you add darker versus lighter shades and it just comes down to what YOU want... 501st accepts anything in the blueish-purple with a wide variety of shades... yes your navy one is too dark (even for the rain soaked Kamino version), but anything lighter than navy should work fine. Just keep at it man, you'll get it!

Contact a flight suit maker, such as Ladysewforus and ask how much fabric she uses for a jumpsuit. Take a printout of Jango Fett that shows the color on the jumpsuit well to the fabric store. Find a fabric that looks close. If you can't find one exact, go for something a little on the bluer side, because its easier to add purple. Then send that fabric to the flight suit maker. Or you can have the flight suit maker use whatever fabric they normally use and then just dye it yourself. If you're going to dye fabric though, make sure its cotton. Most synthetic fabrics are difficult to dye.

Jangos flightsuit appears blue in some photos/scenes and purple in others due to the nature of the fabric/material used. My suit for instance is a light weight denim, and in some photos it looks light purple, where as in others it looks blue.

If you plan on dying. Be cautious with the dye times. Mine sat a little to long in the purple and I'll have to fade it a bit to get close to my interpretation of the blue.

When I dyed it in the purple , it sat only about 3-5 minutes. just a hint of purple. Wet the suit before you put in the purple water.

Yes, jango 5204 has some great advice on dyes... I used his technique when I did mine and it worked great!
