Leg Armor Attachment

I have my Jango shin armor attached, but the flight suit is a little loose and the leg armor seems to sway around a bit while attached to the legs. How do I keep the shin armor pinned to my shin? How does everyone else do it? A quick response would be appreciated, trying to get everything together to submit to 501st before I leave for vacation on Monday, and before the next troop?

I have it attached with industrial strength velcro at the moment.

Thanks!

Tom

do you have "button holes" sewn into the legs to run elastic straps through? it's the accurate attachment for the costume and keeps things very snug. i put two female side snaps on the inside of my shin armor, place them pretty far forward. then take a length of 1" non-roll elastic, wrap it around your leg to with either end touching the snaps. cut it about two inches less than that (because it's elastic and it's supposed to stretch). get four 2" pieces of 1" webbing, fold them in half over the ends of the elastic and sew them on. finally, punch the male side of the snaps through the webbing ends. run it through the button holes in the pant leg (be sure to place them where they're hidden by the armor) and connect the snaps.

i would recommend that you do that with all your leg armor for the best possible fit.
