I like to use the extra thick CA glue. (cyanoacrylate) superglue. Really depends on what I'm working on though.
There really isn't a "no mess" glue, and what type you use depends on what it's for, what materials you're working with and what kind of strength/hold you require.
Although I love cyanoacrylate glues, up here in Canada it would simply not do for winter/cold weather troops as super glue becomes brittle in the cold and would fall apart if put under any stress. I've switched to speed set 5 min epoxy, the kind in the twin-sided syringe. It'll glue just about anything and has a good holding strength. the best part is that it's rated for outdoor use, so will hold up in both the rain and the cold.
For a quick fix I love Loctite Super Gel... you hold it there for like 15 seconds and it holds pretty good.
Since it is gel it isn't TOO messy either.
if you dont mind waiting a few hours (JB weld.) has always been good to me
Thank you guy's! Perhaps JB Weld will be a good option.
Bah, I haven't found any non-messy glue, even JB weld is messy, especially the grey part.
I've only discoverd the divine glue to be CA glue, nothing is better IMHO
