    kid gauntlet help PROBLEM SOLVED

Ok, I am stuck. My 5yr old daughter is short a set of gauntlets for Halloween. I have most everything else accounted for, but am really puzzled on this one. I am willing to try to make them, but need some pointers! A cheap discarded pair might be an option too! I am not too worried about accuracy on this, just finished for Halloween. I think the rest of her costume looks pretty good, and she needs something on those arms!

    Thanks for any input.

you can try what i'm about to do for a friends kids fett. i'm going to cut two 6 inch long tapering panels (start about 6 inches wide and go to 4, so i guess trapezoids) from the left-over's of the trash can i made the armor out of, heat them in the oven (325 for 5-7 minutes seems to do the trick), then bend down the center length-wise and freeze their new shape under some cold water. after that i'm going to paint them up and hot glue a couple elastic straps in them so they stay on.

I actually found a couple of plastic kids cups that once I cut the bottoms off of, fit rather well on her forearms, but I am having trouble with the "embellishments" plus have to try some different glues. I figured as long as she can get her hand in, I don't need them to Open up. Was planning on putting velcro on the inside of the cups and on the sleeves.

You could make them by scalling the WOF templates and make them from syntra or some other materials.

    You seek Cruzer.

Actually, I am not sure he has done any more of these (and if he has I get the first set!), but they are perfect. You might want to post a WTB in the cargo hold and see if someone has an unused set.

    Re: kid gauntlet help

I would love to find the templates, I searched and could not ever get the link to work, I used several of his other templates with good luck. If you can help me out with those, I'd appreciate it.

I did pm cruzer a few days ago, but hadn't heard back. I am on a very limited budget

    Thanks for the advice though.

Alan hasn't finished the Jango guantlets yet, and the old thread is gone.

You could modify the Boba gaunt blueprints he has. The Jango and Boba aren't too different, but there is enough difference to warrant a mod to them. I may have to go down this road myself. Hope Alan doesn't mind, he does a better job than I. Here's the Boba gaunt thread:

And here's Fettpride's thread on his Jango gauntlets. You can use this a reference to mod the boba blueprints, or the guantlets themselves and you make the pieces.

    Hope that helps!

You can use little plastic cups and use scrap sintra to build upon them

    Sorry I didn't reply.
If I can find time in between making holsters and have some extra resin laying around, I can try and make you some resin shells if you'd like? I know I don't have the right resin for the flamethrower and ripcord housing. But I may have some 2nd test pulls. I'll check when I get home if you'd be interested.

I took the easy way out and used a foam material over a couple of bottles that had coffee cream in them to begin with. I also am on a tight budget with making a boba (4 yr old) and Jango (6 yr old) so I decided to no get to overly involved with the gaunlets. Just a thought.
