    Nov 22, 2008, 12:50 PM - Jango V2.0 #1

Okay, so I'll be the first to admit my first Jango wasn't that great. I am sure many of you noticed many faults in my design. I consider it all a learning experience and have decided that I need to get better and I want it to look better. I choose to start with improving my armor first.

My first armor was okay, but it wasn't shiny enough nor was it weathered at all. You could say I was a dull Jango.

So, I visited Seeker's tutorial for rub-n-buff on youtube and tried again. This time I also added the weathering.

I hope you can agree that this version is looking better than the last.

I have also redid my leg armor. Which is now more screen acure in shape.

I have to adjust my back plate so it doesn't stick up past my shoulders. I have to attach snaps to my jet pack harness so that it does slide down my back. I have to add more details to my gauntlets. Finally, I need a new holster, but that is on its way. I believe that this time around my Jango should be much better.

For the time being, I have settled to get the holsters from Bleahhh. They have got to be better than the rubies that I currently have. Plastic pieces of... anyway. I'll have to put up with them until I get my leather holsters.

Before I headed out for some turkey, I threw on my Jango. I wanted to get a feel for how the new armor felt and what it looked like on, so I could spot trouble areas. More importantly I had made adjustments to my jet back harness to prevent it from sliding down my back. My adjustments helpted, but more are needed. I reshaped my back plate so it wouldn't stick up past my shoulders as well as added some detail to my right gauntlet (which is hard to notice in the pictures.) Anyway, I would love to hear some feed back. On my to do list is weathering the gauntlets, redoing my boot armor and getting my leather holster along with minor adjustments after having the chance to wear it once already.

Let's compare what I started with:

To what I have so far:

    A little closer look:

I am also putting money aside to get a helmet from Cruzer once he gets himself up and running. What I have now will do, but it needs to be replaced.

Thanks for the words. I have to admit that I was so proud of the first version, but now looking back I makes me laugh. I hope to continue to improve.
