Jango Jetpack Qs

Hey all,

I am looking to start painting my Jango Jet Pack, and need some suggestions.

#1: How much weathering on the jet pack ? My thoughts were, just a bit to make it look like it had been used, but nothing extreme.

#2: What color did you start with ? I looks like I could start with the yellow or the blue. I realize I will be doing quite a bit of masking, but any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you for your imput. I will post progress pictures once I grow the cajones and actually start painting it.:rolleyes

You should contact a buddy of mine, slave1pilot. He's probably painted upwards to near a dozen or so jet packs and has the process down to a science by now. He can definitely tell you what colors to lay down in what order.(y)

Here's my painting thread: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/showthread.php?t=22614

1. The weathering should be mostly black wash and dirt, no major scratches or dings. His jet pack is fairly dirty in some spots, especially on the thrusters and white areas.

2. I started with the white and just sprayed the areas that needed white first. It's easier to paint over white than paint white over a darker color. Then I painted the blue, then yellow, then red, then the black stripes/lettering.
