Jango Helmet Padding

Mandalorian Guard

Hi all,

Just wondering what do you people use for padding your Jango Fett and other mando lids?

I know foam padding can be used or knee padding can be used. What are the advantages, disadvantages of these?

Anyone with links to helmet padding inserts.

Does anyone have any pics of the ILM Jango Helmet inside?

Thanks

I used very minimal padding. The screen cast helmets are relatively small and my noggin is rather large. My friend Gene hooked me up with some rather thin replacement baseball helmet padding, at least that's what I think it was. The foam isn't thicker than maybe 1/4".

I have 2 three inch strips of about 3/4-1 inch thick foam one on each side in the top of the helmet... like Foxbat said, there isn't much room, I have that and two fans/battery pack and that is literally ALL I can fit in there.

I just have one piece of about 1" thick foam that goes along the inside brow to keep the visor off my nose. Other than that I don't have any more padding. For reference I have a BKBT.

I use headliner foam, I take layers and quilt them, to have a donut effect for the top. One thing I do want to do, is and a sort of handle to the inside. Holding a TK, TI bucket in your hand is easy. Holding onto your fett helmet requires you to use a firm grip on a slim surface.

There is a guy that I know of on the Mercs (he's probably here too) named Stormrider that makes some sweet buy'ce interior padding that looks like real greebles. He's currently trying to find the person that he sold the molds to, but if/when he does I'll send you his info. Until then: I would suggest what everyone else has already said.
