Jango gunbelt keeper and colors

Hope someone here can clarify something for me,...all of the Jango cods I've seen have a keeper in the front to retain the gunbelt rig's forward strapping across the front of the thighs. That being said, on starwarshelmets.com, I see this shot that definitely shows the keeper has moved. Were there 2 versions of the armor, or was the keeper always hanging from a belt or somesuch? Also wondered if anyone could recommend some rattlecan shades of silver to work on armor painting, thanks all!

Don't use this picture for reference. This is the least accurate stunt costume for Jango. They made like seven suits for the movie. 3 hero and 4 stunts. something like that.
