Jango gloves in a pinch

I needed some gloves ASAP and decided I'd try something I was thinking about awhile back. I bought this SEM interior paint at an automotive paint store for about $8. It's specifically made to paint the interior of your car, like the seats and dash. The paint is flexible so it doesn't flake off (hopefully). Used an old, old pair of my unlined leather police gloves from back in the day, hit em with some acetone to make sure they were clean (They touched all kinds of unthinkable filth). and spray away. Let me know what ya'll think, It'll work for me in a pinch, I don't think I'll ever find a pair of womens gloves that will fit my hand. BTW the gloves are $20-$30.

They look perfect!! Great idea I'll have to check the local AutoParts store I have some white glgloves and was wondering how I was going to get them the right color.

Please let us know how the hold up under trooping conditions.

Auto parts stores sell vinyl dye-used for hard plastics in auto interiors and vinyl seat coverings. I have used this product myself for modding computer cases. It works like spray paint but some color is absorbed by the plastic. It lays an even uniform layer of color. For best results, lay down a thin layer of color, let dry, then another layer. I have not ever seen blotches of varying amounts of color using the dye--unlike spraypaint. Don't use it if the plastic material is dirty or has been covered with putty or any type of sealant. It would be a good basecoat for armor, but probably not for helmets.

Here's some pics after 3 events. 1 Halloween party, trick or treating, and a costume contest in Fresno. I probably wore them about 8 hours total and took them on and off several times. I'll give them another misting before I use them again. I will continue to use them until I can find a correct pair.

The 2nd pic shows to 2 people I beat in the contest, "The King" from Burger King and Cheech from Cheeck and Chong.  I thought he was Super Mario or something. Oh well, I got called Rocketeer several times:( :( I had to constantly keep my hands on my MR blasters, people kept reaching down trying to touch or take take them.:angry

Great idea for the gloves, I actually thought of doing something similar for a different project. Also, is that a BKBT? Or what helmet is that?

Where did you buy the SEM interior paint at an automotive paint store for about $8? I was looking online at Autozone, they need a model year and type to search for one. Could anyone help? Thanks a million. ;)

don't know if you'd find it at autozone. I got it at an actual auto paint supply store called Bob's auto paint. The color name & part number are listed on the can in the first picture. I'd print the picture and take it to the store with me.
