Jango Fett Coveralls
Just received my "Star Fortress" blue Jango Fett coveralls, but they are MUCH too dark. They're an "almost black" navy blue instead of the the grayish-blue jumpsuit as portrayed in the movie. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to bring the color up to the jumpsuit's appearance in the film?

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
I don't think dye is gonna be an option. They need to be way faded out and than redyed, most likely. Bleach is super harsh so I would try that as a last resort....you could try this: Amazon.com: Rit Dye Powder- Color Remover 2 Oz: Kitchen & Dining might work if your jumpsuit is cotton. I have never used and no almost nothing about it. Sorry to be of zero help
I would suggest next time staying away from stat fortress....check around on here there are tons of great producers of quality jango gear.

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
hope you haven't ordered more from Star Fortress. You may be in for more heartache.................

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Better off ordering a new jumpsuit unless you wouldn't mind doing the work to change the color.

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
I probably wouldn't even bother with that jumpsuit and just get a new one. I don't even know that you'll be able to get that the right color and even if you do, it'll easily fall apart from all the abuse it'll be put through getting to the color you want it.

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Well I'm new to the site, and I ordered them awhile ago. It's a shame cause they were a good price, and looked to be the right color from the pictures. Right now I've got most of the costume in pieces, but have yet to put it together, and the coveralls was one of the main things I needed to put it together.
@SandySith - Thanks for the ideas, I'll check it out.
@Everyone else - Yeah, this is the last thing I'll buy from them since it was so off...

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
start yourself up a WIP thread and show everyone where you stand. I always love to see Works in Progress......

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Bleach didn't work at all. I just went with them for this Halloween. I'm looking for a better pair of coveralls, though, any ideas on where to get one?
Here's how it came out:

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Ladysewforus, bobamaker or you can go the least expensive route which is RedKap postman blue coveralls.
Other than the FS what are your plans for the rest of the kit? Girth belt etc...

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Jumpsuit, holsters, ammo pouch belt & vest - get rid of them! and replace them with the ones for sale on this website.
apart from that the rest (Armour, helmet & gauntlets etc) look like they will work ok.
Don't by anything that isn't for sale on this site and you should end up with an awesome Jango
That's my 2 cents

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
@Mullreel - Kk, I'll take a look. I'm planning on making as much of it as I can. Jetpack Arena version I'll make, I'll make the rope belt, plus I need to add pinstripe to the helmet, and weather the whole thing. I need a new codpiece too.
@Werstrooper - Dunno about that, I wouldn't throw any of it away. I don't have all that much cash to spend. And to use what I could. But I'll look around. I've got till next year though, so it's not huge on my priorities right now. Haha

Re: Jango Fett Coveralls
Well I was going to ease into it but yeah what Werstrooper said. I was going to be subtle as the thread progressed. Oh well.
There are several sizing issues you can work on too. The shoulders look a bit high. I think that vest might be workable too. If you can get in on Seekers ammo belt run you will be happy.
The girth is leather also and not rope, just FYI
