    Jango Boot armour fitment

    Hey guys

working on some boots and armour installing snaps. I have done the heels and elastic snaps, but just wanted to know what you find best to locate the armour to the front section of the boot? Is it required? Do you stick with Velcro, or another fixing method?

    Cheers, Rob.

Its not required, but it helps keep the boot armor down. I'm working on adding elastic on the boot armor and have snap to my boot. I'll post pics when i have it copleted.

It helps so that the boot armor wont be flapping around.

You could use two things strong methods, but I don't know if it was made this way with the SU armor. First is using snaps, but I don't think this will work really good. The second option is a good one. Do you remember the hooks/clips use for attaching the backplate with the vest? So, using that.

I am going to CA Glue a snap to the top of the toe of the boot; somewhat the same as what SEEKER is talking about....I think. Velcro, however, would give you some more "wiggle room," just in-case you glue the snap off center. Good Luck!

I simply used snaps and straps to the sides/heel of the boot. I have never had any issue with the armor popping up off the toe of th boot. Instead of elastic I use nylon webbing so there is no flex and it side flush and tight.

Here's the setup I have. I still think the snaps ads a bit of height to it. It doesnt lay flat to the boot, but it works for now. I also use a snap to keep my pants tucked in there.

    check out all pics here.

Yeah, cheers Arturo. I have gotten them done now and went for pretty much that set up. I have been walking around in them with no issues.

Phil, your boots are comfy man, and they fit me well

Let me know how good that CA glue works. I don't really have pliers to get the snaps on, so I was just gonna use CA glue to put 3 snaps on the boot. 2 on each side and on the tongue
