Halloween As First Time Jango

Rupidupe

Active Hunter
I was still working on this costume today and finished in time to suit up. The armor is trash can, the vest is a gray vinyl I made as well. Overall I am very pleased with the results and it was awesome to walk the neighborhood. Many of the kids picked who I was and I was asked to take pictures with them.

But many adults also called me Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Rocket Man, SpaceMan, Robot Guy, RoboCop... it was humiliatin after all the work put in on this to be called Robot Guy! ROFL! Still, a great first outing and a really fun time in the costume.

It took my wife 40 min to get it on me a layer at a time. Should go faster next time as I have the process figured out as to what goes on first etc...I have to say it was really comfortable to wear and I had a lot of maneuverability. Last year I went as Batman Begins. Great custom costume as well but no where near the mobility.

Up here in Wisconsin it was in the upper 50's, low 60's great for wearing this costume...it wasn't hot at all...perfect. A great first experience.

:cheers

very, very awesome brother!! glad to see it all work out for ya! hey, who did your harness system for ya? ;) really, great job, fantastic costume...(y):cheers

Well I didn't have time to dye the jumpsuit a little more purple but overall I thought it came out well. I have to say...the freakin harness system I got from FettDad was awesome! the Rocket Pack stayed in place all night, was comfortable and didn't slip a bit despite two broken snaps that I noticed when I started to suit up. Sorry FettDad, the best harness I could have hoped for even with broken snaps...LOL!

:cheers

Yeah, there actually is a decent gap between them. I was leaning forward in that pic and you know how they all tend to crush together when you scrunch up like that.

Thanks all...yes, it was great taking pics with the kids and we all had a great time handing out candy to the little ones. Bleahh, the vest looks great but I got the package about 2 hours before I was to go out so I didn't have time to put snaps on it for the armor.

I'll get to it now that things have calmed down. The jumpsuit came just in time. I have one but since working out my shoulders are too wide and it is now tight in places that might get me arrested around women and children! Thanks for riding in like a brown, UPS, knight with that package!

great u loved my jumpsuit and vest. u noe, i really had to push the tailors for it, since there was a huge load of orders. It was also like a madhouse at the post office, but i was the 2nd last in queue to get my post in; else u might have missed halloween in my suit!!!! :D

Good job dude!!! I like the look of the trash can fett, you did an awesome job, especially the backplate ;)... Love the BM helmet too, awesome looking.

Funny what you notice the more you look at your pics. I have a few small details to iron out with the suit. I'm going to try to apply to the 501st with this suit. Some minor tweaks to become more screen accurate and I should be good to go.

Good job man, I too dressed up for Halloween. Won my high school's costume contest.
Got a good $30 prize, and lots of pics. As proud as I am, my costume was VERY
mediocre compared to what you guys do, and I improvised a lot of my costume, but
it still looks okay for my budget. Lemme know what you guys think, I would've done
a LOT better, but I don't really have a job yet... also, I am missing my knee armor
due to lack of time to create them...

Here are my pics: (Flak Vest is custom made and hand sewn, and same for the flight suit.)

Looks good my friend. All that hard work paying off, it's the greatest feeling. ;)

I too suited up for Halloween, and played escort/candy protector for my two young kids. I had plenty of nice compliments on my costume, and a few even tried to give me candy. As for being called by other names... let's just say that aside from the usual, I got called "Buzz Lightyear" a few times.

I would liked to point out that I think your pose is quiet unique. Amazing actually.
Great job all around.

I have a Visas Marr and was called (on many occasions), Princess Leia. Figure that out.

I can see Buzz Lightyear though....kidding. *ducks*
