    Apr 24, 2009, 6:57 PM - Gee2's Jango start #1

Wow, where to start... how about, I received my order from Cruzer this afternoon and my god can this man do nothing to the nth degree?! Everything with this transaction was handled in the utmost professional manner from the beginning estimate on the full armor set, to the individual packing of each piece when it arrived at my door, insured no less!!! Each individual piece ready to be shined up and attached right out of the bubble wrap, and I can't even begin to describe the holster, perfect fit to me and Westars!
    Cruzer you are the Man!!!
Ill follow up with some progress pics later this evening of some things I've already started/finished, this is going to be fun!

Strap-in & enjoy the ride brother!

Your off to a great start with Cruzer's products.
Good luck, and don't rush it.

    Cheers Jono

Thanks bro, but I can't take all the credit. BKBT's parts are amazing...and I'm just the guy laying resin into his molds.
I'm glad to hear your satisfied with everything. Any questions let me know, and I'm working hard to get those gauntlets out to you asap.

Now let's see some progress pics!

OK, here's the lower armor all polished (straps/snaps/velcro), save the weathering. The upper armor is polished as well but I ran out of time for pics. I got the helmet polished & masked off for paint, more pics tomorrow night.

    A bit more...
    - helmet needs pinstripe/weathering/padding/screen and last portion of right ear plus the RF, but I'm waiting on my servo before I finish it
-all the armor needs weathering and a few more snaps
-pack needs the cones and greeblies attached
-girth is all but done, waiting on the glue to dry

Just waiting on a few last bits and I'm just about there

You got a full set of Cruzer armor right away?! Not fair man! You're supposed to piece meal it out, make a set of trash can armor, use Rubies Westars, Reebox with black shoe polish on them for boots, and make a vinyl vest!

This is how the rest of us started and slowly accumulated quality pieces. I hate to see someone come along and have the good stuff right out of the box, it isn't fun unless you suffered! LOL!

Seriously, it all looks awesome! Keep us posted on your progress.

Ran into a snag, the vest I ordered...well let's just say eBay is the devil.

So I got some heavy duty charcoal vinyl and tried sewing one myself (I can barely sew and the machine wouldn't take leather). Not too bad but the neck seam in the back is too low and for some flippin' reason the snaps keep seperating evertime I move... So, how many of you are using snaps and velcro? And any suggestions for the "too low" rear neckline?

By the sound of it, I dont think you wanna trash your vest, just work wanna work around the low neckline. For that, you should get a balaclava! Then work with it for the right coloration. You'll need to cover up your neck and thats the only thing I can thnk of. Besides, they're cheap. Heavy duty velcro seems to work fine for me in holding the armor together as i've done some adjustments recently.

In the end it was just too low, so I opted with a LadySewforus vest and it worked out nice. All I have left are finishing touches on the gaunts and placing snaps on the vest and it'll all be ready for photos!
