Gauntlet trouble

Hey guys im having trouble with my right gauntlet. After attaching the hinge my shells arnt quite alined evenly when closed. So Im having trouble with a closure method and its driving me nuts! Any advice? I would really appreciate it.

Pics would help...I had a similar problem and had to play around with the hinge placements and sanding down the lips of the shells.

No sanding required SandySith just heat but if you managed to get it done that way then thats good to know

Veges - Just read over Cruzers Tutorial, you'll need to glue in the fixed hinge firstly and then get hold of a heat gun or in my case, my wifes hair dryer.

A little heat and both parts will give enough for you to get them to alline correctly.

good luck and should you decide to use the heat method, dont get the gauntlets too hot.

After installing the exposed hinge, gently heat up the top and bottom shells with a heat gun or hair dryer and align. Run a piece of tape along the two sides to keep them aligned and allow cool. Once cooled, take a sanding block to either edge to make them flush with one another, and then you should be ready to install the hinge.
