    First go at Jango Fett Girth belt, pouches and holsters

    G'Day from Australia. I have been admiring much of the work done on this web site as well as being greatful for the tips and tutorials. I have finally gotten up the courage to post some work I recently did for a Jango Fett Fan who is very happy with the final product - I even made the ammo pouches functional so he could put his mobile phone(which just fitted) in them. I am not sure how to post the pictures here so this link goes to my efforts.

    I hand wove all the girth braid myself (about 17 hours work) and dyed it as well - its Kangaroo lacing(of course) . For a first go at such an intricate piece I am pretty happy. What do you all think?

    Very very nice! There's a big need for accurate braided bolo if it's something you'd consider making for others.

    Dear Guys,

    Thanks for your great encouragement so far - especially you Cruzer - I admire your tutorials and work very much and if it hadn't been for what you posted on line I think I would have been a bit lost.

    I have considered making more girth belt braid and more belts , pouches and holsters however I usually have the person who needs an item available for fitting so I can make sure everything is sitting right etc and fits and I get my materials paid for up front so I am not left holding the baby if someone changes their mind.

    That said I guess making braid apart from being tedious and time consuming yet ending up with an accurate recreation doesn't require fitting - but I can't do it at the prices you get from India!!! You are always welcome to contact me on private messages or by email to convince me to do some sort of deal.

    I'm still pretty chuffed that you all like what I have done - being that the work on this site is generally top o' the range
