Finished Jango, and a knee armor question

Dunesoldat

New Hunter
Here is my finished Jango. No less than 8-10 people have helped me out, and it's been a labor of love. Feel free to offer any positive advice. It's not 100% where I want it yet - there are still things I want to correct/need to correct, but for the most part, the rig did very well for it's first time out last weekend.

Quick question: evidently, I have large knees, lol. The knee armor I have is restrictive, and I have already cracked one on the side without kneeling down. I will need new knee armor. Does anyone know who makes the largest knee armor in terms of width? Thanks!

For not quite being there it looks really flipping good man! Who is the maker of the knee armor you have? Don't know if there's a difference inbetween BM's vs Darkside vs Cruzer's knee armor in size. If you've fixed the cracks would it help to heat up the parts and flare out the sides just a bit. Can be done with a hair dryer on full heat setting, followed by a quick dip in cold water.

Looks good. I do not have that big of knees but I can not kneel down at all without damaging them. You may be able to heat them and just widen them a bit, but my best advice is to not kneel.

You can never go see Zod.

If you look at the reference pics in the gallery you can see the screen used suits suffered from this as well. Talk about attention to detail :)

Outfit looks great Jonathan!! Possible fix for your knees. I had the same problem with the sides flexing too much and wanting to crack. So what was done to mine is , The piece that connects the side to the front was taken out and inplace of that was a thin piece of metal strip fiberglassed in. So that way it will flex out when you bend your knees with out breaking. By the way mine are from DARK SIDE. I showed mine on here a few years ago when I had them done to help others out with the same problem. I will post a picture of them poss tomorrow after I get home from work to show you what I mean. Hope that will help you, Jeff
P.S. AWESOME Bucket!! Who is the Maker & Painted it??

Thanks guys for the great feedback and comments. I will get some pics together of the knees this evening once I get home, as well as answer any of the questions asked. Thanks!

Great job. I would love to see the inside of your bucket to see how its decked out

Honestly, there wasn't much done to the inside of the bucket. But, if you want me to take a pic, I'll be happy to do that.

LOL, thanks for the advice.

Thanks Jeff for the info. The bucket is a Cruzer and Jon Wollack painted it. Actually, he painted all of the parts on the suit. He's amazing, and I was honored to have him work on the suit.

Waddup Jon! This looks awesome great job! Hope you're doing well.

Hey Woody!!! Things are going well, and I'll give you a call shortly.

The knee armor is Cruzer's, and it's great and I really like it. The issue is simply bending my knees too much. I guess I simply need to be more conscious of that when trooping.

Great looking Jango. Temuera couldn't sport the beard like that. ;)

Lol, thanks!

Thanks! Here's what mine look like after one troop. The wear is not terrible, I just don't want it to get worse. I'm guessing I might need to reinforce some of the areas on the knee.

Feel free to ship those knees to me and then I'll make you a slightly flared new pair of knees. Or if you think I could add about 1/4" gap running down the middle of the knee cap without it looking distorted, I'll just make a wider knee cap and mold it for a couple of copies for you.
