well, if you put boba emblems on the jango armor... that sorta makes it a custom. it's neither boba nor jango, it's your own creation. nothing wrong with that at all, it's just something to think about.

While they look really cool - it depends on your reason for your costume. If you want to join the 501st with it, any customizations will not pass.

If you want it for cons and what-not then I'd say have fun with it.

I'm no Fettologist, but the scene where young Boba picks up the helmet of his fallen father hints at young Boba taking his dad's armor. Obviously between Ep. II and Ep. IV the armor has undergone an evolution. Perhaps certain parts were damaged beyond repair, and others outright replaced. Perhaps some were upgraded.

Your emblems would, IMHO, fall into a theoretical category of what that evolution might have been - or at least one stage of that evolution.

If young Boba's adventures are ever chronicled in the comics, it would be interesting to then pattern the armor colors and parts after that. At least it would be canonical at that point.

You could do what ever you want. it's your stuff.

Yep, it's YOUR costume, your money, your blood, sweat and cusswords, so you make it your way.

Seriously, I wouldn't sweat being "correct" or "accurate" unless gaining acceptance into the 501st or Knights of the Empire is your goal.

Personally, I like the black emblems on it.

wow. thank you, its actually a dark silver with a mist of flat black. i was going for a ghost image look but oversprayed the black. looks better in peron. thanks fellas.

You definitely won't be offensive by doing custom additions. There are no regulations here that say you can't do whatever you want to do for your costume. But if you were applying for 501st membership with the costume, then it's a different story as the symbols are [deep voice]not canon[/deep voice] for the costume.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

Just a thought here, since you're planning on wearing it to cons and stuff and being "501st cannon" accurate is less of a concern, ;) how about some damage to the armor and helmet. Nothing extreme, just some scratches, dents, scoring from blaster bolts that went awry, etc. You could scratch some of the blue paint off on the high spots on the mandibles and other places. Like I said before, just an idea.

As has been previously stated, this is your costume. Trust your gut. I can't wait to see more pix of this. You've done a GREAT job! :cheers

Hey Souhthern, thanks for the advise, i actully tried out a little dammage on the helmet and backplate a couple of days ago. i dont have much to work with im on a very very tight budget right now with wedding plans and all. but here are some pics.
