    Oct 21, 2007, 3:46 PM - Dialing in the Jango #1

Overall I have made several adjustments to my Jango that have improved the wearability. There is one item remaining, that bugs me and thats the strap on the holster that runs around the leg. My issue is, the strap wants to droop at the back of the leg. Now I can tighten the strap pulling it up, but then I worry that fast movement might make it break free. I wish I could put a "belt loop" at the back of the jumpsuit leg. I am considering attaching the straps to the back of the holster with heavy elastic, rather than directly. The idea being that I could tighten it, but still have a bit of stretch, so that I don't have to be so concerned with movement.

How do other Jangos deal with this, am I alone in this concern?

Are your holsters hooked to your leg armor? Chicago screw your holsters to your leg armor, then you won't even needs straps on your thighs. Your leather straps will hold everything in place. Mine droop a little, but not very much. I wear mine fairly tight so my guns don't make everything flap around. ANy pics of you in the suit.

Interesting idea, not sure how well it would work for me.

I got that idea from Cruzer. I used to have them attached to my Jd thighs, before switching to the new BKBT. My girth, ammo pouches, holsters, thighs are all hooked together. no saggy ammo pouches, no flappy holsters. Chicago screws on all of it.

Just to be clear, I wasn't worried about the thigh armor moving, but the leather strap running around my leg. With the flexing of the leg, there is stress placed on the pin like things. I added an extra for security, but it still worries me. I can run about in TK or Bikerscout armor, and I want to be able to move quickly in Jango without worrying about parts cming loose. I might just try your idea, with my elastic idea.

    Thanks for the pictures.

I put a small belt loop on the inside of my thigh where the material seam is & run my leg straps through that. Works great, no sag. It may not be screen accurate but then again, wearing the costume for trooping in was not something the designers had to forsee.
