Darksword's Jango Mod/Finishing touches/ Help thread

Just smear some of the black/brown mix Apple Barrel acrylic on the ear, let it partially dry, then blot some off with a barely wet paper towel.

Here's a pic:

thats odd that you guys were having trouble with the royal blue...i had no trouble at all...lucky i guess...went on in one quick coat.

I had trouble with the Ocean Blue. Couldn't get it to coat evenly after 3 tries. I eventually wetsanded it with 1500 grit sandpaper and it turned out great.

Its hit or miss really... If I see it start to sputter; I usually back off, clear the nozzle, spray into the air a bit, and then try again. If it keeps sputtering, I just trash the can.

Well thats it, the earcaps pretty much speak for themselves, but the RF box is harder to see. The paint is there, where the stalk meets the box, and the small crevices around the screen area. Also, very subtle areas around the top and on the side you see in the picture, trying to replicate like a mark from running water or something passing between the LED detail.

I cant judge it, but Im afraid to even do this to my helmet :
