Cruzer V3 Holster Assembly Interest Thread

Over the last couple of weeks I've been contacted by a handful of people who were all interested in obtaining one of my V3 holster asemblies. Consequently in a little over a month I'll be venturing onto a new career path that will without a doubt take me away from doing any further Jango leatherworking for quite some time...maybe even indefinitely.

So I posted this thread to see if there were about 4 individuals who would be interested in me squeezing one more run of holster assemblies in before they're no longer available. I would need at least 4 people interested who were able to place prepaid orders. Any more than 4 people and we would have to play it by ear after I finished the 4 orders.

Turn around time would be 2 weeks for the first 2 people who placed orders, and 3 weeks for the 3rd and 4th people.

For now this is just an "Interest only" thread as I need to finish up 2 holster assemblies and a gauntlet project I'm currently working on before starting a holster run.

Ok, it's beginning to look like I can get started on a run next week. If I push it, I can fabricate approximately 3 assemblies in a week so the first set of prepaid orders will be started next week and I'll just keep making as many as I can.

The strapping system of each assembly is cut to fit a person's body dimensions, therefore, I can only accept prepaid orders before starting to cut on the leather. As a result, I'll have to take orders in the order that payments are received.

If you place an order I'll need you to PM me these three body dimensions: Height, waist circumference at about the belly button, and mid-thigh circumference. I'll cut the strapping system as close as possible, but a little on the excess side so keep in mind you may have to shorten the front straps if it doesn't fit perfectly out of the box by adjusting it with the holes. It's an alteration that can easily be done with any tool that will make a hole in a piece of leather (i.e. punch, drill, knife, etc.). The back straps and thigh straps are intentionally made long so you can cut off the excess material for a custom fit.

There are a few possibilities for stain finishes that are available, and having to choose between either a 1 3/4" leather belt or 2" nylon webbed belt. So once a person places an order, we'll discuss specifics via PM.

Prices are $200 shipped in the U.S., and $215 across the ocean.

Wow, I'm humbled. BIG :hug and thank you to those who posted shout-outs! I'm glad you were happy with them for those who have a pair. And JB and JW, your's are closer to being done every night.

I have a set and they are just lovely, dont let this chance get by you!

Speaking from experience, the amount of time, skill and money involved in a set as accurate as this is overwhelming. I would jump all over this if I didn't have so much blood, sweat and tears in my own set.

I would like a set of holsters only. No straps, belts, hadware and un-dyed. Just tell me how much you want.

Hey guys, those three in the pic are from the last small run I did. The three I'm working on right now for you guys will be 95% done by the end of the weekend. I had to order more post hardware and three new strap end punches (for the wider strap sizes we're using this time around) to round off the ends (Thanks Jango_Wes!;) ). Just ordered them this morning so everything should be here in 2 working day via UPS and then I can put on the finishing touches. I'm shooting for them to be done by the middle of next week.

first the assembly, then the helmets please!!! before you stop for good???

I couldn't make a helmet to save my life...I can barely paint one. Helmet fabricating would be the expertiese of some other amazing people on these boards, skirata.

Mine wouldn't fit you anyways JN...but like I said you can take a holster assembly home with ya if you want...trust me you'll have earned it by the end of the day!:thumbsup I should have most of the various pieces cut out so we'll mostly be assembling and staining.

Just a little update:

I figured there may be a few on the list who are shooting for a Halloween deadline. Therefore, as long as my order of 2" webbed belts gets to me by this week like it should, it looks like eight of the holster assemblies will go out by this Saturday. That's all of them except for Svoor's, who still hasn't sent me measurements.:b Based on feedback from other members I recently made assemblies for, all the measurements should be right on so they should be ready to wear out of the box. The thigh straps are the only pieces that may need trimming.

For the few of you who've contacted me and are waiting to see if I will be able to make a few more, I'll have a better idea by this Friday.

I got home today and found that I have a package at the post office. It's from cruzer. I am almost giddy with anticpation.

you won't be disappointed. they look great. I got a plain set and just dyed them today. SNAZZY :thumbsup :thumbsup :cheering :)

Holy *&^%(&^%. SWEET. Snuck out of the office during down time to get them from the mail and brought them back to my office. Even the non-SW guys were impressed. They were like wow... that's real leather. Somebody makes these? They can't wait to see my costume.
I can't wait to get home and pair them up with my skirata thighs and cod.
On top of that I just nabbed a pair of ( brand new) blasters for under 20.00

Picked mine up from the post office today and they look really awesome! And you were right, they were perfectly sized right out of the box... not that I promptly put them on or anything....

Hi Cruzer! I just wanted to chime in and tell you how happy I am with the belt. It is perfect! It looks wonderful and fits great. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making these. You're the best!!!

I'm happy to hear you guys are satisfied with your holster assemblies and that they were a perfect fit to your dimensions. Sorry the wait was a little longer than anticipated (had technical difficulties-a mold broke 2 holsters into the run), but I hope you felt it was worth the wait.:)

Please feel free to give me any feedback on how I can improve them. The leather will soften up with use and movement. And if you didn't like the weathering or wanted more, you can always take any type of light brown stain or shoe wax to those areas...or scratch them up even more with a piece of sandpaper.:thumbsup

Well, here are the last two...Benkenove's and Bobamaker's respectively. They'll go out tomorrow guys.

As of right now, I have 1 extra pair of finished holsters that I need to put straps too, and another pair in the molds...who wants em? They'll come with a webbed belt only as that's all I have right now.

And it turns out I have a little more time so I'll take another order or two if there are takers.

I actually made this one last night...I think I set a new timed record too making it for ME!!!! Plus it's for a 35" waist....so there's no way it would fit your...um, girth.
