Cruzer Jango leg armor project--revisited

I worked on the shins a little more. Let me know if there's anything I need to change, otherwise I think I'm going to go ahead and drop them and the boot armor in some silicone.(y)

Thanks

I made them screen-sized proportionate on a size 10 set of Reinone Jango boots. So I'm guessing they'd look good up to a size 12 or so. After researching the boot armor ref. pics, I felt the boot armors were a lot smaller than what I had come to know. If you have a big shoe size, I'd say a BKBT boot armor would be best because I think they're slightly bigger.

I'll alter the pics to include some measurements.(y)

well come to think of it i will likely not be able to ever get boots my size. i currently wear 16s and could pull off 15s but ill still need to make the boots my self so ill probobly go for best screen accuracy and use 10s or somthing on my mannequine

Since the shin and boot armors are at points I'm satisfied with, I decided to now drag my thigh armor project out of the unfinished projects bin (f.y.i. the unfinished Seeker cod project is next;)). Here is the right thigh. I'll be finishing up the left one this week and getting them ready for molding. I still need to adjust the curvature from side to side just a tad. They will be approximately 11.25" tall along the curvature on the center line, and about 9" wide along the curvature on the center line.(y)

Thanks guys. Here are some updates on the right thigh after I corrected the side to side curve. I'm happy with it and will start on the left one today. These are probably scaled more for people who are 5'9" and below, so I will have to make a slightly longer pair for you taller Jangos.

Just a small update. I ditched my first thigh prototype and made entirely new masters for the thigh pieces. The second masters are made wider and taller to fit about a 5'10" person. They'll also be trimmable to fit a shorter/smaller person.

I then began noticing how the curvature of my first thigh proto had a curvature similar to the shoulder pieces. So, after toying a little with WOF's template and studying pics from the Jango Reference CD, I made a proto shoulder armor. With that, I've now decided to continue my Jango armor project to include the rest of the upper body pieces. I'll get started on this part of the project after I receive some screen-cast parts soon.

Add all of this to a pull of Seeker's Jango cod he asked me to make modifications to and gave me permission to mold and cast...and hopefully I'll have a whole set of Jango armor ready to drop into silicone by the middle of next month.

Oh, and don't let me forget to mention I'll be making a new backplate mold. And, I also ordered a gallon of special resin to hopefully produce a few sets of all this stuff in cold cast.

Thank you to everyone for their patience with this project! (y)
