Classic kit to Arena Jetpack conversion (big-time pic heavy)

All right, last April after purchasing what was probably the worst jet pack kit ever sold on ebay...

...and getting into it for almost $350 for it and unsuccessfully getting any of my money back (even just a little of it:cry )Actually I owe him for teaching me to have kindness for those who for some reason do me wrong and teaching me to not give up in finding the good in a bad situation...

...here it is 50+ hours later and around another $100 more...

...without further adeu, my lemon of a Classic Jet Pack converted into a sweet Arena just in time to make its first public debut at IGNLive October 22nd in L.A. this last weekend to hang with Andy, slavefive, Resilient, John(awesome Tie Pilot), and many cool others.(y)

The only Jet Pack that will forever hold a special place in my :love .

Ta dah!

Thanks slave1pilot, really appreciate it, especially comming from Blacklist Squadron. Needless to say I like the heavily weathered look. Plus it hides the imperfections in the base paint job and matches my armor well.(y)

Marvelous! After seeing it I would have never guessed you finished it only a few days earlier, this goes to show what a little elbow grease and a whole lot of patience can do with what you have. ;)

Great work! :D

Thanks guys! Actually Andy, I finished painting it in the wee hours of the Sat. morn that we all met. I didn't sleep at all Friday night before driving down to L.A. on Sat. morn. for IGALive. I stayed up all night working on various parts of my costume to have it ready. That night I was on another one of those prop building highs...minus the drugs of course...always.

gotta get some sleep, Later, and thanks for the compliments guys! Now I just got to find a missle thrust vent for the bottom and I think it's all done. Then off to ebay...just kidding:lol: that'd be almost like selling one of my children after all the time i've invested in it.

Got an MLC Classic comming anyday now too that I'm excited about painting up.

night.
