In all honesty, those aren't too accurate. The cheap alternate are the JBX2 boots that are sold at Journeys.

I got myself a pair and they are pretty decent as far as accuracy goes.
Those are great boots... comfortable too!!
Thanks. Will check the JBX.
Just like my TK where I got the boots first also
These need some modificatons?
Lower buckle needs to be removed. Other than that, not any real mods.
I'd suggest taking some black shoe polish to the stitching as it's a dark grey. Aside from that and the lower buckle, you'll be good to go.
Thanks to an Alaskan friend these boots will be send to me![]()
Anyone got pictures of the finish boot for exact Jango look?
I have these boots and wouldn't mind seeing a finished product!
After all modifications are completed, like the removal of the lower buckle, the addition of rub-n-buff to the edges of the soles and boot armor... this is what you'll get.

I got my boots in last week, the Journey's.
Modification will start as soon as the boot armour is ready.
What exactly is rub-n-buff that is needed for the boots?
The rub-n-buff is for the edges of the soles, the two silver areas on either side of the arch in the above photo. You'll have to mask off with painters tape then simply apply the rub-n-buff. Pretty easy really.
Have you got close us of the finished boot Ian?
Laar0406 - am shocked and disapointed they don't ship them boots outside US. I'm in the UK, bit stuffed too in getting those boots.
I'll snap a few close ups for you tonight.![]()
i got those too but havnt used them yet for jango...i like them so much i havnt had the heart to costumized them..lol
How did you attach the straps? To the boot. To the armor?
The straps are attached to the armor with rivets ( I'll be adding some velcro to keep the armor from riding up my ankle ), and the srtaps are attached to the boots with snaps.
You'll have to make holes through the sides of the heels to mount the snaps. Make sure that you get the long shaft variety.
WTG Ian, :thumbup
I have the same exact boots and now that I've seen the way to do it, I'm not afraid to mark them up now!![]()
does anyone have pics of the original jango boots?
We might be out of luck. And by "we", I of course mean "me". Looking at the website, it appears that Journeys no longer sells the JBX2. Bummer.
Goodness gracious! Where the boots at? I'm doing my soft parts list and I have all the materials with the exceptions of my gloves and boots. Since my suit is a custom job, I've been both here and the Mando Mercs site and the boots are still eluding me. I seem to keep missing the boat, and when I go to the listed websites they no longer sell the blasted things. Anyone know where I can lock down an acceptable Jango-style boot?
