SpideyFett came up with the nut and bolt attachment. Just do a search and you'll see what i mean. It doesn't look difficult at all to do.

nothing like coming home and seeing a post dangler on my door.as i anticipated it was my first bkbt bucket and she's a beautiful piece.
i'm just scared to dremel out the visor section.

What kind of paint for each of these colors is recommended?
Rustoleum sells various types such as enamel and different
finishes, eg satin.

Krylon "short cuts" ocean blue

and standard Rust o Leum royal blue it is listed gloss enamel

sorry for the Q but ....what color are the ear caps done in? and can any one point me to the ocean blue color? I have been to about 9 dif stores and no one has that kind of paint color:cry
