ASOK Helmet Cut

Hey All...quick and easy question. I want to make sure I cut this helmet correctly. It looks like there's a bit of a "dip" in the pull...is this an abnormality? Should I cut flush to the ear and create a smooth line to the back, or leave that little "lip" behind the ear?

I cut that down to about where you have it and then I sand it clean with a drum sander on my dremel. It should look smooth and finished when you are done.

Also since that area will be painted you can touch up any rough areas with bondo if needed.

Sorry, should have paid closer attention to which forum this was before I liked. But my intention is still valid. Good thing we have so many talented members here to find what you needed. :)

kaane pointed it out already, so there's no need to explain the step-like angles between the jawline, ear, and back of the helmet in any detail, that picture said it all perfectly.
