Another pair of MOW Jango gauntlets butchered!

Cruzer

Well-Known Hunter
Finally finished up this little project I've been working on and off of for quite some time. As before, I switched out all the hose fittings with the accurate brass fittings, installed working switches and buttons, and constructed a 2-piece flamethrower. The significant thing I did differently this time around was install hidden hinge closures on both gauntlets.

Thanks to Dark-Side for all the Jango styled aluminum hardware...your stuff is second to none, bro! (y)

They may come available for purchase.

Enjoy,
Cruzer

Since I tried to get the last pair from you may have to pick these up!

Oh and I still need to measure my sons arms as well!

Looks great! Where do you get the second set of hinges and that long pin? I'd like to do the same for my MOW's. I like the new hardware as well. I can't say enough about Dark-Side's handy work. Nice LED switch. I couldn't find one of those to save my life.

Thanks guys.
The hinge can usually be bought at any hardware store. For the pin, I just use the pin that's already in the hinge, but you have to remember to cut the hinge about two sections longer than you need and then trim those extra sections after you pull out the pin. There's a link somewhere here to those switches at www.allelectronics.com .

I was covered in so much fiberglass dust that I didn't even stop to think about progress pics.

But basically, I cut off the recessed lip part with a cut off wheel in my dremel. Then I used the same wheel to carefully level the insides so the hinge would sit flat on both sides. It does take a steady hand though.

I'll shoot some up close pics later and post them.
