EDIT: Removed all original text from here so I could ask a question
There's a chance I won't be getting a refund on this damaged helmet
And I'd like to know what I should do
Will I be able to recover some of my loss if I sold it as is
Or would I be able to get more if I fixed it to a kit and sold it like that?

Does anyone know where this helmet came from? is it a cucblack or a modified and recast dp deluxe?

Thanks for the info guys :)
Shame that it's all cracked :( the paintjob was really good and metal looking

Question-
What would be the best way to fix the helmet? It's got alot of cracks and I'd have to sand the whole thing and repaint it (which I just cannot do)
Would it be worth leaving it as is, or sanding, fixing and leaving it as it is in a 'kit' form then selling it?

bump-

Should I keep it and fix the cracks?
Reselling it as a basic kit?

I am not an expert, but it seems to me that the helmet is not exactly accurate due to the width of the visor gap, and maybe the curvature of the helmet too. It was painted nicely though.

None of my business, but did it arrive to you damaged? Or did it get damaged after you received it? If the former, I'd serious be contacting the guy to see if you could work things out. If the latter, I don't know that much about repairing these types of things. It would seem you'd have to strip the paint and use some sort of filler for the cracks. Sand and buff out the imperfections. Repaint.

Dumb question--again none of my business--but why would you resell it if you could repair it? I mean, you bought the thing in the first place? You obviously wanted it? Just thinking out loud on my end.

It arrived damaged, I tried to get a refund and couldn't
And reselling it would be to recover some of my loss so I could get another completed
Jango to put on display since this one is broken

If it is going on display, you could pass it off as a Reek trample-damaged Jango helm. Epic win.

Ha ha, if only that worked XD
I'm still wondering whether I should sell it in it's current condition and get $5 for it
Or if I should sand it and fix the cracks, selling it as a 'kit' getting most, if not all
of my money back

Repairing and/or repainting it will take away more of your time and money than what you've already got into it or will get for it. Not to mention damage like that can never really be truely repaired. Hit the guy with negative feedback if possible for not working with you and learn a hard lesson...buy from craftsmen on TDH.

I'm still trying to resolve the problem but it's very unlikely i'll see some of my money back from him- so yeah, i'll leave neg. feedback if it ends up not working out
