Plus the armor is just cut Sintra. It's not cut or shaped very well. I would avoid it. You'd be better off with the WOF templates and cutting your own.

ok... i get it ^_^ sorry bout that, im new you know, hehe, but for sintra i need a heat gun right ? is it expensive to it on your own ?? i mean i like the idea of fett full of dollars, but donno about how thick it will turn out, what do you recommend me Buba, what's the best way to go for a beginner!?

I would browse the forums more. If you are on a strict budget there is some great armor tutorials on making it out of a trashcan. Sounds funny, but it looks great!

if you are doing this for a one time thing then go for it. if you are doing this to keep for a while and use multiple times or even display then pass and search the boards more before you make any decisions.

thanks for the help till now.... i'll say then that this is average armor^_^ Buba fett says that i try the "trash can" method, that means that is the better way to go, or i can go for this armor, maybe if a take good care of it?? i donno, to the naked eye seems good to me, but i really appreciate all your good comments of experience

Like others said. Really search the boards and do a lot of studying of pictures. This armor has somewhat of the basic shape but has no depth. Don't just rush into getting armor. Worst mistake you can do. Good luck and if you have any more questions just ask. You can pm us too if you have questions also.

That looks like smallblock302 armor. Recaster and banned from many a board, including this one.

yes it is smallblock302's armour ...i asssume he was a memeber on here and taking credit for for some else,s hard work yes ? ..that sucks!!!..i didnt know he was a recaster !!

Maycol. I'd avoid ebay if poss and either A) do it yourself from sintra. You don't need a heat gun as I shaped mine using a hairdryer. Or B) buy from a member here. You get quality and a fair price too.

till now the only armors i have seen that are decent are of course the BM and that from evolutions, but, im gonna think about making my own out of sintra or the "trash can" method

If you were willing to spend 175 on that armor, then why not just by BM?

well... have you seen the prices of BM ?? it even scares me :S or... why do you say it ? am i missing something here ?!?

BM is a bit pricey yes but at the end of the day its what you get what you pay for .

Spend Less, Save more. Mow your neighbors lawns for some money. Save up allowance. Do whatever you can to get BM!!!!!! lol, dude, I think that if you just absolutely cannot afford BM's stuff, then scratchmake it.

Unfortunately, I have some armor from Deathstar. I bought it before doing my research on here (learned my lesson). I was able to make it into something halfway decent by heating and shaping it a bit. "As is", it is pretty much void of any shape, i.e. flat. The more I look at it and compare it with Christian's stuff (cucblack on eBay), I think it is a recast of his armor.

Go with BM if you can, or try to scratch build. You can find some threads on here of some very nice scratch built stuff.

The easiest way I found to shape sintra chest armor is to boil each section separately and then lay it face-down inside of a glass saucepan lid. (Preferably one with a removable handle on the top.)

Wear gloves and work quickly because it will cool down fast.

I have to say that i went for Christian's stuff (cucblack on eBay) but Unfortunately he left me standing for over a month with no armour and was rude by telling me not to bother him ect ,in the end i got a full refund !!!

The more i look at BM armor, the more i want that, someone wants to give me a xmas present ??? what a hint of what i want?? ^_^

Before i found this website, i purchased a set of that armor off ebay. I upgraded to a set of FPV3 armor and will sell my old armor to you for cheap. PM me if your interested.

i bought some of the first armor that was shown. if you do buy it , better have a heat gun and alot of bondo! you might as well scartch make it.
i bought the stuff before i knew about good armor.

if you can afford it ,BM armor or fett prides stuff.

I bought a similar set that I ended up giving to my son after I bought a set of BradleyFett armor. It will get the job done but if you are like most of us you will end up replacing it anyways. Just spend the money right the first time. IMO

i would wait and do some homework before buying,they look good in the pictures but can be dissapointing when you recieve them.

i,ve had a couple of good friends who did the same thing with starfortress costumes,bought them thinking they looked good in the pics but when they eventually got them, they we're **** i'll let you fill in the blank!!.

Well, i bought a fiberglass 4 piece chest, shoulders and collar, i'll wait on the rest for some good ol' BM armor ^_^

As far as this armor goes.... no. It's good you got something like fiberglass. Although I don't know what kind you're probably better off. While that armor on ebay resembles fett armor it could be made by you out of trashcans for $10 so why pay more on ebay for armor that is still not accurate.

Also, reading through this I don't think anyone responded that you can heat up sintra in a pot of boiling water for about 10-15 seconds. Makes it very pliable - and if you use a heat gun you needs a respirator for the harmful vapours - which do no come off when you boil it.

The WOF templates work very well for all except the backplate takes extra patience due to the compound curves.

Yeah, I made my son's armor out of sintra and found it very easy to work with. I just found some objects that I could shape it around after I heated and it worked like a charm. Even the backplate turned out nice. Cheap, easy to redo if you mess up and better than most eBay armor you'll find. If you can't find or afford the BM, FP, MLC stuff, then I would recommend the sintra route (or trashcan if you want to save even more money).

Anyway, seems like you have a set now. Good luck with the build.

hmmm...when i started looking for armour i had made an order with Cucblack ,however i never got my armour from him after he tried to screw me over with no armour and no refund till later i filed on him and left him a negative hahaha his only come back was saying i was unpolite and aggressive ..well wotever Cucblack !! Cucblack was rude and aggressive by telling me not to bother him in private emails ,too bad really i should have posted them on ebay
