Well I think that's it.... now I just need to beat the boots up a bit get em all dirty maybe fray a few edges . Have I left anything out ? I might try to fill in those wee gaps between the bracket and the boot .

Yes got the tips right here on TDH .. thanks to all :thumbup . I took 3/8" aluminum rod and into the drill press with a coarse & fine file Hacksaw on an angle drill , tap and that's all folks!!!
