supertrooper flame thrower?

Hi All,
I met Alan Harris this weekend, he's better known for playing Bossk in ESB but it turns out he also posed for costume fittings of the Super Trooper and he told me that the costume had a working flame thrower in the left gauntlet that was activated by a switch on the side of the flame thrower. It would spit flames up to 6 feet and he had to wear 2 cylinders on his back.

I aslo asked him if the jump suit was made of flame retardent material and he laughed. Which I took to mean No.
