Solochaser's new gear

Hey everyone, just wanted to show off my hard work and purchases. The gauntlets were bought from a member and needed some fixing and repainting. Among the alterations are the pin and hindge method. I didn't like the velcro closure because the shells showed signs of cracking. The armor is not attached yet. I'll upload those in a future post. let me know what you think.

I REALLY like the method you use to secure the open end of the gauntlet! What is that turquoise rod you are using made of anyway and where did you get it?

The rod is a plastic paint brush. You can get a pack of them for a couple of bucks at Brooks Pharmacy. I'm sure they sell it also at Wal-Mart.

How does the right gauntlet open? I'm just asking because of the placement of ripcord/dart launcher thing

It opens the same way as the left. I had to put the hindges on a couple of times to get it right. A little frustrating but worth it in the end. Here are some shots of me suited up at my friends wedding over the weekend. The armor is all made from wickedbeard. His stuff is the best.
