Shin tool templates and sintra question?

Guys,

Are wizardofflights shin tool templates in USA measurment? or is it standard inches worldwide?

Also,which is the best material to use here in the UK for making armour etc? Is sintra readily available here or is there an alternative?

I believe that it's called Foamex in the UK. I'm not sure about the measurements of the templates though.

I think the measurements are US inches. But I'm not 100% sure.

Theres a difference between US inches and inches in other parts of the world?

That's what I thought too. But by the way the question was worded I thought that maybe there was another standard I was not aware of, hence the not sure part.
