Re: Reaper Fett build update
I would use steel woole to get rid of the shine on the armor. Or just wash it out.
Itīs a tip too shiny for me.
Also use misting on the armor. maybe this will reduce the shine too.
cheers mate,
Manuel
Re: Reaper Fett build update
Sweet, no worries. I was planning on misting the entire armour with a can of flat black. Would that be too much you think?
Re: Reaper Fett build update
I'm not an expert on this costume by any means, but maybe a slate/charcoal gray?
Re: Reaper Fett build update
Re: Reaper Fett build update
I would mist it with a little black as you have planned and then hit it with a clear matte finish to take the shiny out of it. Off to a good start though. :thumbsup
Re: Reaper Fett build update
Thanks cojake, as soon as I source a stalk and the visor arrives I'll mist with black and then seal it with the clear matte. Do I seal the armour the same way?
Re: Reaper Fett build update
Check with BKBT for a stalk, he had some posted in the cargo hold. I would hit the armor with the matte finish as well. I used Krylon matte finish in a spray can on my armor. Takes the shine right out.
Re: Reaper Fett build update
It's coming along really well. You should definitely mist with some black/gray/brown colors. To seal it andtone down the shine use Testors Dullcote, it's really good and easy. Like this stuff: http://www.thewarstore.com/TestorsDullcote.html

You have put a lot of work into that helmet, and it shows!
But who will be the first to install a OLED screen into the inside of their bucket?
