Neck Plate

Weird question I guess...

Do you guys actually attach the neck plate to the vest?

Yes, I use velcro.

Yep, small strip of velcro in front (about 5 inches long), just enough to make sure the front of the neck sits flush on the vest, like the rest of the armor does.
