Hi all
Well ive decided to start my trash can armor i'm going to do ROTJ Bobaand i need paint colors for the torso here is my armor so far ps this is my first set of armor and i'm 12
Very nice work! The shoulder bells look especially good. What did you use for the ammo belt? It looks pretty cool.
Looks great. From the picture the armor looks kinda like it was gently hammer like it was metal. Was that just the trash can or an effect you added? Looks good so far, keep it up.
Here is a picture final paint and I need help on how to weather![]()
You may want to do the battle damage topically (paint the damage on top of the green and yellow main colors). Work with one plate of armor at a time. Get some tracing paper and a pencil. Measure your armor and bring up a good reference picture onto your monitor then trace the damage onto the tracing paper. Don't press too hard, or you'll ruin your computer screen if it is a flat screen. CRTs are more forgiving.
Here is a thread on how to get very accurate results.

I would do the yellow first then the silver. Let it dry between coats and then do a wash of black or mist black paint lightly over it. Do either technique in several light layers and add more layers if you need to.
Experiment on a scrap piece before you dig into your armor.
For making dents and holes, see this thread

Please, please be careful. It's a good idea to have a friend help you just in case you get hurt. Experiment on some scrap pieces first.
Best wishes on this and post pix.![]()
Your armor's looking really good so far. Can't wait to see how it looks when you weather it.![]()
how do you cut so clean? my cuts through trash can look terrible!
looks nice and proportioned, but you should shape it so it curves around your body. if you have a heating gun you can use that, or throw it in hot boiling water and let it get soft, then pull it out and curve it. but a warning, it will destroy your paintjob.
Well sience its my post i guess i'll ask whats a PM? PLEASE DON'T MAKE FUN OF
I would have a update but im missing something my camera! But when i find it you'll be glad i did
Use a heat gun and bent it a little bit to your body!
Cheers Eric
