This may sound naive, but where does the MQ-1 circuit board attach to the helmet ?
The circuit board attaches inside the very back of the helmet, inside those cutouts that are known as the "keyslots."
This should give you an idea:
On the inside of the helmet, it covers the key slots on the far back.

i was just looking at the MoM pics, on the rotj, was there a completly different board used?
There are also little knobs on the bottom two slots. Not sure what they are exactly, I'm not a ROTJ expert.
