I am painting my test armor and I bought some stuff called Micro Mask. I painted my armor in layer and let it dry. No I am having a very hard time getting the mask off.
What brands have you had good luck with?

I use Parma.
Winsor & Newton for me. I've had a single bottle for over 2 years, and it's still going strong.
Just as easy to use today as the day I bought it.
To be honest, I have never successfully used micro mask, it really just stains the paint around it and leaves paint streaks when you clean it off
I have just been painting my shoulder bells and after reading post about liquid mask and not having a clue about it I use some glue I had to hand. Copydex, as it is called here in blighty. It is like a laytex rubber type of glue (can be quite messy). Painted it on, painted my colour and simply peeled off when dry, worked a treat and did not harm the previous coat. I have a massive bottle so problem solved.
i used micro mask on my rotj armor...worked just fine for me... but
the trick ive found w/ that stuff is you have to put it on heavy, and dont leave it on over nite. you gotta take it off after a few hrs. and if the micro mask is any bit still wet or tacky when u paint it wont come off worth a darn.
if u intend or need to leave it on for longer periods of time then go with windsor&newtons........super jedi swears by it
ditto on that. i did 3 helmets, 2 sets of gauntlets, all my armor and knees x2 with 1 bottle.
i would have still had it, but i dropped it on a concrete floor. yeah, the bottle is glass.
great stuff. kills your paint brushes though, so i use low end watercolor brushes and throw them away when i'm done.
Where can I find some of this liquid masking tape? I'm going to be painting my armor soon. Thanks!

I think SD68 used the Windsor & Newton masking fluid on his scratchbuilt helmet also.
For those who are looking for the Windsor & Newton brand, here is where to find it at Michaels. Find the air brushes and fluid was on the middle of that row. It was $12.99. Do not forget your 40% coupon that made it $8.79.
Here is a pic. Thanks superjedi.
