At least he has a sense of humor about it...

According to the Forum Rules, I don't think that I'm in violation by posting this eBay link:

Poorly Made Boba Fett Armor Prop A Complete Set of Expensive Junk | eBay

    I got a chuckle.

Man that armor is terrible. I feel bad for him, but like I try to tell every new member, stay away from eBay unless the seller is MOW.

I know some people will disagree about public criticism but I find this helpful. This saves someone from making the same mistake he did. I laughed. Way to spread the word and saves someone's hard earned money.

Re: At least he has a sense of humor about it...

Hey guys. Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm not a noob, though I should have known better. I have bought stuff from Cucblack, (swprops) a few times over the years and haven't had any problems. He's known on this board and has a decent rep. What pissed me off so bad was that his package got damaged when it was shipped... I understand that. But when I emailed him he basically told me it wasn't his problem. Then... he just flat out ignored me. It's true that I have no recourse because by the time I received the product the time had expired for me to file a claim, but the least he could have done was work with me... not ignore me. I struggled with that, but decided the best way to handle it was to post my listing so others who might purchase the product would see my story. He may have an overall good rep - even on TDH, but ignoring problems doesn't make them go away; especially if I'm the problem!

And I plan to leave this posting up indefinitely. It's worth the $1.50 a month to me. I'm sure ebay will pull it down when they catch wind of it, but who knows. Anyhow, thanks guys!

Well, it was an entertaining read, and, like the title states, it's nice that you can laugh it off.

But if I recall the timeline correctly, you sold your RKD armor to purchase this set?

Sort of. The RKD is nice, no doubt. It just seems a little big to me. I'm 6'0" and 200 lbs and to me it just looked big. Anyhow, I thought I'd try the fiberglass stuff from Cucblack and... what can I say. I didn't want to wait all that time for Boba Maker or FP, that's what happens when you let impatience get the better of you.

And there are some good reviews on Cucblack's armor on here. I don't see how since even undamaged the stuff isn't really that accurate.

I think you misinterpret my directness...I was responding to your previous statement about the good reviews of the armor here. People can unknowingly get this stuff and use it get "approval" from the 501st and think theyre walking around in what is an accurate Boba Fett suit. And write good comments about it. So I blame their ignorance.

I bought a set of armor from a member on here to hold me over until I receive my FettPride set, and several of the pieces appear to match up with your armor. Especially what you're saying about the shoulder armor. The collar armor piece has the shoulder studs molded in, as well. I was told it was made by MLC, whoever that is, but either way, I was a bit disappointed. If you're interested in any of the pieces to offset your broken set, shoot me a PM. Not trying to make money, really, but you're local to me. Your call.

I understand what you mean, but only after you wrote it this way. And after you've elaborated, I couldn't agree more.

I think trashing culcbacks Rep is wrong you didn't buy the armor without seeing it first so you knew in advance what you were getting as for the shipping carrier damaging the stuff yes he should have found a way to satisfy you on that issue.

That's really surprising to hear. I have people all the time who are your size that have purchased my armor and have told me it fits them perfectly. I myself wear my own armor and I'm 5'10" at 160lbs and I can make it work for me.

Either way, I'm sorry to hear about this and I wish you the best in getting it all figured out

Re: At least he has a sense of humor about it...

RKD - No offense. It is nice stuff. It was just my opinion. I didn't want to turn this into anything about your product.

Woody - I'm not trashing his rep with any lies or omissions. The damage to the butt piece is from shipping. I included that in the posting. Also, the gel coat chipping off had nothing to do with shipping. That's poor glassing. The warped knees? That's also too little material used to keep them rigid. Nothing I received looks much like the photos. Anyhow, if you want to stand up for a guy who won't even stand up for his own product... c'mon man, I've dealt with you on several things here and I know you have more wisdom than that. Cucblack - Agustin - Christian, whatever name he wants to use, ignored nearly every attempt to rectify this. I've been trying to contact him since October and he has flat out refused to communicate with me. I'm a reasonable person, but this was BS. I would have worked something out - but you can't work anything out if the other person ignores you. I appreciate your opinion though, I knew some people here might have an issue with it and I can respect that.

RKD - Just so I don't leave a bad taste or anything; here are the photos of your armor after I painted it up. It really is nice stuff and I think you can tell by the effort I put into painting it that I mean that.
    chest.jpgclose.jpgclose-2.jpgclose-3.jpgclose-4.jpgback.jpgcod.jpgshoulders.jpgshoulder.jpg

And I should have clarified, really the only part I thought was big on me was the back piece.

Aw I'm sorry bro, I didn't take offense at all and I value your feedback as a peer and customer! I think you did a great job on the paint on it, sorry it didn't work out for you.
I know that my armor isn't for everybody and I try to be up front and honest with them about the sizing before they buy

    Thanks Jc!

Anyway, sorry for the derail, back on track now!!

America is a hole? I've only been a couple of times but I thought the parts I went to were okay and not worthy of such an unkind description.

As for the original post about the other eBay sale; I thought it was quite funny and a novel way to get back at someone who he feels has wronged him. Don't mess with that guy!

Since I'm looking for armor parts, I had seen these guys on eBay.

I know this can be a sensitive question, but any feedback on the supplier rjscustomfiberglass who I am considering getting piecemeal armor from? I'm still looking for active runs.

    Thanks.

I definitely recommend RKD, who has far superior armor than the one from that auction. You won't regret it.

I'm sorry that it's over so. I always try to solve the problem the best way for shipping damage or if you are not happy with the products. But when a person is aggressive, rude and make threats. There is nothing else to do.

*** he speaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, I can't believe it! I've been trying to get a hold of you for months and months! Well hey, that's great. I don't really want to get into a whole thing with you here, but seriously... are you going to send my replacement piece of armor like you promised? I mean really, do I need to post all of your emails where you said you would send it to me?

And what threats? I live in California... you live in Bolivia? How could I threaten you? I just want what I paid for. If it got damaged during shipping, well then you should pack it better. I paid for something that I didn't receive. You can either man-up and send me what you owe me or I'll continue to spread the word on how dishonorable you are. What really gets me upset is that I actually told a lot of people on this forum that I recommend you. See this thread if you need proof of that. I was a customer of yours for a few years, I bought a jumpsuit, a flak vest, a full set of armor among other odds & ends... and for a single piece of damaged armor, you sacrificed that and showed yourself to have no integrity at all. Do the right thing and send me what you owe me. Not being threatening or rude... just angry; and I have a right to be.

Apparently we have different point of views of the situation and how the events occurred. I sent the replacement of the damaged part and I notified you.
I think this is not the place to discuss the problem.
    I'll send a PM.

But I suspect your PM's are like the "replacement" you sent me. You and I both know you never sent me anything. Had you, none of this would be happening. It's frustrating that I once supported you and now you are blatantly lying about the situation.

I think this is just the place to discuss sellers such as yourself, Cucblack! I have to thank TD-4608 for the caveat, as I was thinking of buying from you-obviously not any longer.
