KNEE ARMOR ELASTIC STRAP PLACEMENT
well, i lied when i said i had just one more question about the knee armor...i have done some research on where people are attaching the white elastic strap for the knees...i was looking for different opinions on where to do this, i guess to see what works best for everyone, and why...?? :) thanks! :cheers

Duh...I should have known that given the title of your thread! It's been one of those days.
Let me take some pics tonight. It's easier than trying to explain it!

yes, I am curious too. The knees are to be painted right now ... and next is to fix the elastic straps ... so pictures will be very welcome!
Thanks FD for this thread! :-)

Re: KNEE ARMOR ELASTIC STRAP PLACEMENT
FD- it doesn't matter about the strap (its just for looks and balance). you can use Velcro or snaps. But i would suggest using Velcro sewn into the flight suit and attach to the knee front, so that they stay in place.

yes, brother, i have seen that done on many knees...:thumbsup thanks for the info! :cheers i am also going to put an aluminum brace that runs along the inside top edge of the knee for added durability...:) i like the snap idea for the elastic strap...i know that people have glued one end of the strap on one side of the knee, and then have the snap on the other...just was curious to where i should locate those attachment places on the knees...should it be higher, in the middle, or more towards the bottom of the inside of the knee...just want to see what others have to say and their experience with it...:cheers

Thanks man.
The strap i have is sitting in the middle of the back. Ill try and take a cap tonight if i got time. It also really depends how big you are also (knee cap wise)
If you are shorter guy you'd probly want to move the strap down. If taller then up.

Re: KNEE ARMOR ELASTIC STRAP PLACEMENT
Here are the pics I promised.
I use snaps on the flightsuit to hold the knees in place and the elastic is really just used for screen accuracy and to pull the ABS knees so that they wrap around and don't flare.
The inner snaps connect to the flightsuit. The outer snaps are for the elastic.
:cheers
