I just bought a new digital camera and just got my new gauntlets and wanted to show off a little costume progress. It will be finished by DCon...

Are the gauntlets supposed to be so bright? Or will you be weathering them?

Sometimes I feel like I'm the National Advocate for Prop Weathering or something. Feels like I'm always dropping in somewhere going, "looks awesome, now beat the **** out of it!" or something similar.

Believe it or not, thats a bad pic of the gauntlets. They are weathered and they do match all of the other orange on the costume, its just a bad pic. I`ll have to shoot some more for everyone.
I want to say thank you to everyone for all the encouragement you guys and gals have given me over the last couple of years!!! I will keep up the good work and more pics to come...I promise.

Good call, SEEKER! Yeah Jodo, Wizard World is usually a few weeks before Dragon Con, so that would be a great spot for a trial run before the 'big show' in Atlanta!!!

hopefully it wont conflict with CONvergence this year.

Gauntlets aren't that bright and they're weathered enough as they are(saw them in person), just a bad pic as Jodo said

The outfit will be done for Wizard World!!!! That will be a great tryout for it. I can wait to troop with you guys!!!
The next thing is the belt accessories to get painted and to finish the gun to have it cast. I have all the parts, it just needs to be cast in resin because there`s no way in hell the original would ever survive the beating it would take at a con.

The jet pack is a modified Boba Fett pack. The only difference is the rocket top. Its a different shape all together so I guess you could say its a small custom job.
