how do i attach backplate with the collar?
The backplate is attatched to the collar via the four studs you see on the collar, one of these also holds the cape in place. Or some people velcro the collar to the back plate, with the studs being there for accuracey and to hold the cape in place.
Hope tha helps,
Welsh
Yup, I use the velcro method (easier for removal) and use the outside stud to mount the cape.
Also has a secondary backup, attach some velcro to the backplate in the shoulder blade area, the backplate will then velcro to your flak vest there too... you'll find that it will help especially if you will troop alot...
I thought the harness would hold the backplate in place? Thanks for that Shiv, more stuff to do to my Fett![]()
cool thanks guys
Lewis, the harness does help to keep the backplate down, as the bottom of the plate slides into the cross bar of the harness (if it's a metal one). However, the additional velcro helps alot....
Don't attach mine at all. The collar and back are buttoned to the vest and just overlap. Seems to allow me more mobility.
I use the velcro to attach mine while the buttons are for show. I also have velcro on the bottom of my plate to hold my JP in place and it works very well.
For more accuracy attach the back and collar with functional armor blocks. And the back with velcro to the flak vest.
My collar studs bolt the collar to the backplate. The collar is velcroed to my vest and the backplate just sits on my back with the straps and jetpack weighing it down and keeping it flat against my back.
I use the bolt method
works well as far as i can tell
