    Gaunts lock mechanism

just a quick question guys, any ideas on how to lock my gauntlets?
i tried earth magnets , but TO ME it does not seem to work.
I have some fibreglass ones I bought off Ebay, they seem ok , but with all the electronics and alloy , they are super heavy.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
    thanks

You can do the "hinge" method. You take a hinge, whether it be one that goes the length of the gaunt or a short one in the back with a piece of velcro on the front. Pretty much remove the pin from the hinge, and use a rod of some sort to keep it latched through the whole hinge. Cruzer has a tutorial in the Jango forum about it for his gauntlets. Now for my Boba ones, I have MOWs. I kept a lil velcro at the front, and put a smaller hinge in the back in which I use a cotter-pin with a lil veclro that keeps the pin from slinding out. Both ways work. I have to say, when I got my Jango Gauntlets from Cruzer and used his method, I say those keep it the most secure.

so you slide the pin "in" ?
so does the hinge go on the outside of the gaunt?

    Re: Gaunts lock mechanism

I have MOWs ESB gauntlets and I use two hinges and velcro to keep it closed. It works perfectly. I just cut away small parts where the hinges "sit in" so thereīs no opening after I closed them. Velcro on both sides would do it too, but I wanted to hold just one part in my hands if I take it off and I bet itīs easier to put it on whith hinges than with both sides velcro. It stays where it is when opened. :-)
