Hi guys and gals !

Below is the current running list for run #2 of FP V.3 Armor. If I've forgotten anyone, please let me know.

FP V.3 Armor. Includes everything seen in the picture. Including, visor material for the chest light slots, resin knee dart inserts, as well as the 2 small cold cast inserts for the center diamond and ab plate. The armor will be "Rough" trimmed.

Hey FP!

In run #1 you said you may be willing to do Knees and Cod/buttplates but were going to hold off so people could get their full sets 1st. Are you still planning on offering them alone or are you going to move on to gauntlets?

A small update -


This update doesn't affect this armor run per say, so no worries. But I want to take a moment and post an update as to what's going on for those that may be waiting on a few misc items. I'll post this same update in all of my active threads.

Yesterday was a snow day from hell. I know, that sounds like a contradiction in terms :lol But you know the old saying ... "When it snows in hell" ? Well since I really hate where I currently live, I consider the saying accurate ... because it did, AGAIN :lol

As most of you know that have been keeping up, and for those that may not yet .. my little "mountain town" is getting slammed this winter. The worst on record since 1968. And it figures. We haven't had a bad winter since 1995, so I suppose we were due, as it is considered "snow country". Adding insult to injury, we got nearly 2 feet of snow almost overnight, and it shut us down here. I spent the whole day yesterday with snow removal. I had to take off from work to do this. Emergency services shut down, as well as all of the normal stuff, schools, city transit, airports, retail establishments, ect. My main focus was removing the hundreds of pounds of snow from my Mother's covered porches and overhangs, because after 2 months of this every week practically, there has been a rash of "cave-in" incidents around the area. Very dangerous stuff. In fact, we still have the same snow buried under many more feet of compounded snow from other storms, that first came down back in late November :lol We've also had lines down (power loss) which translates to NO HEAT, no internet (my wife in Indiana has had to "Proxy" for me) as well as cell phone towers and service interruptions. The final "insult" here, is that very soon, we will be literally buried, as there are no contingency plans in place here for "mass" snow removal/relocation. We were caught off guard to say the least. Put simply, we're running out of places to put the snow ! :lol

The moral to the story is, I was completely unable to get any of the small outstanding orders out to the post yesterday. I wanted to make sure that everyone is informed as to what delays I encounter as I go, if any. This was a really big one folks, and I had no control :lol But my apologies nevertheless.

The cold is still affecting works as well. There are a few of you that have been waiting for FPH's that may not understand why I can proceed with "another" run of armor, when you are waiting for your pieces, ect. Please understand, fiber glassing is a different process from the armor, that is adversely affected by extreme temperatures and humidity, the forming process for armor - not so much. So for those of you (very few, I think 5) that have been waiting patiently for the "Mid January" expectation, please accept my apologies as well, but again, I simply have no control. I try to set realistic expectations, but there was no way to predict that this would still be going on. If any of you would like to entertain "refunds", please contact me and I will make those arrangements. Otherwise, if you're ok with waiting, that's good too. This is why I've stopped accepting interest with the FPH, a few weeks back, as I didn't want to backlog myself, and keep any more members "waiting" than necessary.

I want to thank everyone for their continued patience and support. Rest assured, things are still moving forward, but very slowly on some fronts.

i am sure you have considerd it but, seriously get a snow blower. It really beats shoveling that "stuff".

One thing I like about anchorage is they are really on top of the plowing and the snow removal (a huge part clearing the roads).

I have a huge snow blower !!! it's in Indiana now :lol What happened thre was (the short story), is we had all of our belongings moved by a moving company last year when the house in Oregon was under contract for a sale. We took a leap of faith and counted on the sale going through (escrow). It didn't. It fell through right on the last day. And the mountain of stuff had already left for storage in Indiana :doh >: :cry And because winter hit so fast, so hard here ... there isn't a snow blower to be had in this town. Well, there are 3 ... but are being sold by an establishment who is trying to SCALP some poor smuck for 3 times what they normally sell for !! >:

It really does suck. It was just very bad timing. In fact, I told my wife a few months back, that I knew that the last winter here was going to be a BAD one ... and she asked why I thought that? I said, because YOU have the snow blower :lol

BobaFett07 - I'm actually not parting out pieces at this time until full sets are complete. This is pretty standard for me when I do this sort of thing. If there is extra material left over after the run has concluded, I then offer some additional pieces. I'll give an update on that soon.


* UPDATE *

Well, I'm coming in right at about the 2 weeks max I spoke of :lol All won't be shipped by Friday, but a good number of them will. The rest on Monday )in order of payment received).

I had a couple delays. Cut the tip of my left thumb off :lol Not that it's a real bid deal, just kind of sensative when forming hot plastic :lol And yes, I took pretty pitures (imagine that last sentence with a "lisp" emphasis ) :lol

The real delay was resin for the knee greeblies. I ran out. The good news is, I had the foresight to re-order days ago. It should be here tomorrow at the very latest. At that point I can fill the rest of the boxes with these added goodies and get 'em out.

I really appreciate everyone's patience as always. It's been a busy busy time, with the updated sculpts for the JB project, and filling needs here. To add to that, tomorrow there's a little personal drama going on with my better half and a "surgery center". So I'm a wee out of sorts because I can't be there (2k miles away). So again, I really appreciate all your kind words and understanding. I do my best, it's nice to know it's appreciated by YOU :)

Hi Everyone !

Well, I've been a nervous wreck all morning, so suffice it to say, I've gotten nothing done but playing with the MR bucket this morning out of nervousness :doh (needed to just mindlessly play with something for a while) :lol

The good news is, my wife went through her surgery very well. So for now all is well. It will be a rough week ahead waiting for biopsy results, so bare with me. I know this is something new to most of you, but we've been dealing with it for some time now. And I think it finally took it's toll on me today since this was the big day. I thought I could continue to work and function well, but as it turns out - not so much :lol

The last thing in the world I want to do is to publicize my personal life, which is why I'm keeping details to a minimum. But I do feel you should all know what's going on to some extent with me so you can reasonably understand the timelines and the potential delays. Again, I didn't think that this was going to hit me the way it did. But it did. So that being said, I'm taking the rest of the day as a "personal day", which will delay shipping a bit, so I do apologize. But again, I want to make sure there is an open line of communication so as that no one gets nervous. You're still in good hands ;)

Whatever looks nicer I suppose...if it really makes no difference then rubber would be cool. Some rubber props have seam lines that can't be taken off or hidden and don't take paint well, so that's my only concern with that.

As of right now, I am fresh out of materials. I'm very sorry. All of the current sets will have tracking/shipping #'s by this evening. Beyond that, here is the game plan ..

I will be shipping my equipment to Indiana next week. Most of it will be freighted. It should be NO MORE than 2 weeks total, before I can/will be able to "hop-to-it" :lol That's a week to 10 days for shipping for freight, and a few days to get things organized.

I will be more than happy to help you guys out, when everything gets to where it needs to be. I will already have plastic/materials on the way. The plastic will probably beat my equipment there, because where i'm moving, one of my distributors warehouses are only about 50 miles away :lol This means, less $ for YOU ! ;)

For those that have expressed interest, we can do this ... I can add your names to the list above, in a separate set if you would like. Just confirm here with a post after you read this.
