Yes, Seekers wrath. Spear = bad news. But I think I'd be more worried about him being all muscle bulging and oiled up , with a TINY little leather garment that could fall right off in a scuffle

He's gonna to be soo mad at me for this

You are one hard working man! The backplate mod looks great. I imagine your PO just looved you showing up with a bunch of big boxes around the holidays. LOL

Re: FP Armor - Version 3

You guys are way to good to me :o Thanks a million everyone

    UPDATE:

I'm still awaiting the plastic shipment. I'm starting to get a wee concerned, so tomorrow morning I'm going to put a call in and find out who had their way with the preverbal "pooch" I'm hoping it was just the holidays that slowed everything down. But once the plastic shows, y'all know it won't be long .. as I got the first 16 or so out in record time I will let you know as soon as I know tomorrow.

TURO : My slippery, bulging buddy ... your package should be on YOUR DOOR STEP no later than 3pm Friday. If it isn't, go find the messenger and shoot him !!! (the post man) I'll post up our "express" tracking number on page 1. Sorry it took so long !! Hope it was worth the wait

Benkenove : You're gold too my friend. I'll post up your new shipping info as well !

I've been going throught he PM box, and have caught up to about 1 week ago. I think I pretty much covered everyone. If I left someone out, just speak up here, or shoot me another PM, I've got it cleared out a bit so it won't get lost this time. My apologies for taking so long

FP, the armor looks just UNBELIEVEABLE(and i haven't even gotten to see it for myself yet in person). I think you saw the thread about the chest lights sizing issue I may have. Is there any chance I could order a replacement left chest piece with the slots?? Just let me know the details and we'll work it out!! Thanks so much again for an AMAZING product!!!

Ahhh! I'm still not added to the list on page 1! Noooo!! LOL

But in all seriousness, it sucks you haven't received your next shipment of plastic, but it might be a good thing. It's allowed you to take some time off from this project and actually get some rest! No one wants to see you burn out trying to get everyone's armour done.

I really can't wait to get mine. Following the FP V3 progress threads all I can do is: . The stuff looks great!!

    I better get busy

A side note about your bucket ... since you are showing it off at a prop party, I didn't primer the outside of the bucket so everyone can see it in all of it's pretty white-ness And it can be seen that the seam line really is microscopic

    UPDATE:

Plastic shipment is safe ... it turns out that they were out of stock on the real thick plastic used for the backplate and kidneyplate. So the order was shipped on the 28th. Should be here any time now. Probably today actually So we're gold !

Re: FP Armor - Version 3

    Heya !

Seeker - Good news my brother !!! Let me know what you think tonight eh?

Good grief Gav, this is getting ridiculous. I'm so sorry this has taken so long for you. It's even more disturbing to know that KoRn300 just barely got his ... I had no idea his shipment was taking so long as well.

From now on, it might be a good idea to start considering International Express mail for our over seas members. It's really not that much more. And there is a guaranteed delivery. Then again, it then comes down to customs. If that's what this is about, unfortunately I cannot do anymore on my end. There is another member that has had his shipment sitting in customs, and he has to wait for an "Invitation" to come and claim the package It's not right. Either we (USA) are the most open and vulnerable country in the world, or everyone else is just waaaaaaaaaaaaay to cautious ... maybe both. I know, that was a really stupid statement We all know that we (USA) are just open to anything and everything, even with "Homeland Security" I just don't get it. My curiosity would be more in wanting to know if your customs in (insert country outside of the U.S. here) scrutinizes shipments from other non U.S. countries as much as they do those parcels from the U.S. ? I suppose what I'm trying to say is, are they "profiling" when it comes to the U.S. ? Seriously, real question. I've never asked anyone before. Ok, ok, end rant

KaanE, and Fettswatcop - I'll send you guys a PM in a bit

    UPDATE :

Still no plastic shipment. But, it's most likely do to the fact that we're getting SLAMMED with the worst storm this area has seen in 30 years right now. All of our mountain passes are closed (the only ways in or out of Klamath Falls, Oregon) and the airport just shut down and cancelled all flights. The shipment is being delivered via freight becasue it's HUGE If they can't make it in because of the snow, it can't be helped. Sorry guys, I have no control

But to lighten it up a bit, you will ALL (I don't care who you are, it's funny) probably get chuckle to hear that yesterday afternoon, I decided not to pull my truck into my garage so that all of the snow would fall off of the under carriage before I pulled it in (so it the melting snow wouldn't flood my garage) and when I came out to finally pull it in, it was sitting out in the middle of the street !!!!! Yes, the ice pack underneath was soooo slick, that the truck slid down the driveway, and out into the street while it was unattended No damage, nobody hurt, not even a knock on the door. It was just sitting out there, blocking the road, all by it's lonesome So, go ahead, chuckle on my friends

More to come. There are still a couple of hours left in the day here, so anything is possible.

    Beautiful stuff man. Bautiful.........

Fantastic armor, crisp helmet, great packing job, etc......

I could finally finish off this ESB Fett punk that I've been trying to do so for so many years.

I can't believe how much different the new backplate is. Nice.

I should have it trimmed and displayed tommorow. I'll post pics after our builders meeting tommorow.

Hey FP - You will enjoy coming to our First Saturday of The Month Prop Builders meeting. I'll tell you more about them once you more around these part of the woods.

Ohh and thanks for the shipment. Dude! I owe you. Thank you.

Yeah FP i know what you mean about the storm, i'm in the San Francisco area, and we had the bridges closed down cause the wind was actually flipping over semi's and i heard one vehicle was blown off the bay bridge entirely. Fun stuff!!

Yeah it's been a blast so far

I've been seeing that sort of stuff on the news practically daily. They had 2 semi trucks blow over up north of here heading toward Portland that kept the 5 freeway closed for 12 hours

Luckily, the sun is finally poking through a bit. Which leads me to the update ..

    UPDATE:

The plastic shipment is on it's way as we speak. Got a call from the freight driver who will be delivering it within the hour

Good thing too. As there are more storms on the way, one that's supposed to hit this evening for more multiple inches of snow So just in the nick of time ! So, we're on our way guys, I can probably have enough of the remaining armor sets out by weeks end to make most of you happy campers Thanks for being patient !

Based on what surplus is left over, I'll be able to gauge how many more sets can be made for a second run if there is interest. So stay tuned for that too!

Seeker : So where's those pics buddy boy !

Sheesh! Glad nobody was hurt and your truck wasn't damaged.
We had something like that happen to one of our F-16s while I was stationed in Germany. The pilot had landed after a mission, taxied back to his parking location, and did a "U-turn" in front of the HAS (hardened acft shelter) so the tow crew could hook up and back the jet into the shelter.
Well, about 5 minutes after he shut the engine down, a gust of wind caught the jet and it started sliding across the ramp!! It stopped when the wingtip (with a training missile loaded) slammed into the big steel HAS door!
That was 1 of 3 ice-related incidents within 24 hours over there. After the third one, our wing commander shut down flightline operations for a day.

Cleared out some PM's Get back wit ya soon Foxbat

SJ - glad they were just training missiles. Good lord, that could have been
tragic ! Yeah no damage to the truck, no one hurt. And I know there was drive by activity too. I'm really surprised I didn't get a knock on the door from someone

Mojo - Dude, I really hope the shipment is ok. Maybe they opened it, and couldn't get it all stuffed back in I can't even believe it's taken this long. There has to be something wrong So much for hoping the parts are worth the wait now. I'm not even sure that it would be worth it anymore if the parts were screen used What a way to start your first Fett. Volkerc is having a similar issue with his shipment too ... and after all the bad luck he's had with deals in this last 6 months, this was the straw that broke the camels back - he is getting sour with the hobby before it even begun for him. Understandably so ....

Brian - did you get your package ???

For you all waiting on an overseas shipment, be patient. I know you have been, but I'm sure your shipment will arrive. I've had to mail overseas a couple of times and it takes forever! They'll say it will arrive in two weeks, but that really means a month. It's a pain, but check out the shipping rates for UPS and FedEx. OUTRAGEOUS! Hang in there!

Well it doesn't take forever... only if some customs agent sits on the box for a few weeks. The postal system works awesome. And UPS and fedex is not always that much faster than usps, trust me.

I can't complain, fettpride mailed my armor on 12/21/07 and it arrived on 1/7/08 in germany. Boy is that armor awesome!!! Fantastic work Fettpride! Thanks for all your help!

Re: FP Armor - Version 3

Glad you guys finally got your armor !!!!!

    UPDATE:

Well, I'm going to start boxing the armor starting today. I had a bit of a delay with some vac machine maintenance I did't say anything when it went down Sunday, because I didn't want to worry anyone - it was for your own good, as I didn't know how long it would take to fix 'er up. So the good news is, we're good. Think of it like Han's Millenium Falcon, or a Ford - "Fix or repair daily" Well, in this case, not so much daily. But couple of times a year I blow a heating element.

To all that have pending PM's sent into me ... I'm sorry that I haven't got back to anyone in the last 3 or 4 days (or more). I'm just trying to catch up, so I haven't been on the computer. For those that see activity from me up here, just to reiterate ... it's not me all the time. the wife keeps track to let me know if my attention is life or death when I'm lost in the shop

Upcoming plans , and what's on the bench ....

Yes, there will be a second run of Armor very soon. Still a January deal.
I have some FPH's that I still ned to catch up on. Then of course, there are the V.2 Boba gauntlets (oh my wait till you get a load of these things ).
So i have a LOAD on my plate right now. Besides armor, and the upcoming gauntlet run ... all other wants and needs will have to come with a bit of a wait. I'm usually johnny on the spot with the goodie runs. Usually no more than a week or to. Now, we're looking at about 2-4 weeks on individual orders. Just a heads up. This really isn't bad considering what's going, and that it's about average for most vendors anyway. I just have to pace myself or I'll get BURNT fast

Thanks for understanding everyone. Doing my best for y'all

    Thanks a bunch guys

I should have something to post of the gauntlets in about a week. Cutting it close to the wire on a deadline for these, but it was worth every hour (countless) spent. A LOT of VERY subtle, lesser noticed details added, as well some refinements/adjustments ... and above all, a new shell attachment method. Oh, and some ESB flamethrower surprises

    K, so .... a small UPDATE :

Please don't be concerned, not too much more of a delay with things (that includes armor), but I just wanted to share, and rant for a second

This is the "ambient" temp, in case there is anyone unclear as to how these bank thermos work ... and even though they can be "off" a bit ... their not "off" that much ! With the wind shill, it's probably -25

So, some of you won't bat an eye at this ... <cough, cough - Canada/Minnesota> HOWEVER - I'M STILL ON THE WEST COAST DAG DAB_IT !!!! This sooooooooooooooooooo ain't right This is definitely the worst winter in Southern Oregon in 20 years at least, confirmed. We were just starting to recover from the last couple of feet of snow that pummeled us in 2 days flat !

It's not just the cold (I have a VERY heated shop), but more so the moisture. I have to consider buying a de-humidifier. I may just run and get one today, but it takes 24 hours for it to pull the moisture out of the air well enough. The moisture affects how the chemicals react, and catalyze.

Needless to say ... I'm delayed. So baaaaaaaare with me ( or should I SAY .... BRRRRRRRRR wit me) I'm not going to get all religious, but, uh .... isn't REALLY FREAKY weather one of the signs of "The end of days" ? Are the seas going to start turning to blood now ? CAH-REEP-EEE

Re: FP Armor - Version 3

    Hi Everyone !

    UPDATE:

The good news ! The rest of the armor for this run has started shipping ! When I finally say it, it goes fast as you all most likely know Sorry it took a little extra time getting there.

I'll start posting confirmation/tracking on the page 1 list as they come in. Right now I've got a few that I'll post up here in a few. The rest might havet o go out at the same time on Tuesday, since the post closes at noon on Saturday where I live, and Monday is a holiday (cough) But for all intents and purposes, Run 1 of V.3 is officially complete as far as I'm concerned. It just hasn't caught up with you yet

A big thanks to all who participated ! And many thanks for your kind words and comments !!!!

The Second Run will officially commence on Tuesday, in fairness to those that haven't shipped on Run #1 yet. Once the last box has shipped, I'll start the second list if there is enough interest. So if anyone wants in, now might be the time to start thinking about it, because this one is going to have to go fast due to time constraints on my end with project deadlines.

I can't wait to see details about the ESB gauntlets! I love how you're putting so much detail into the ESB set where often they would be ignored for the more popular ROTJ set.

Yay! I'm glad this run is finished, I can't wait to get it. Although I'm still not listed on the page one list...should be the last one at #30. I also still need to send you payment for shipping, so if you can let me know how much that will be I'll fire that off to you as well.

    Hey FP,

I shot you a PM the other day. Wanted to make sure you got it. Also if there is room on your list you have another buyer.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Did you request it in black? Or is that the way it was sent to you?
