First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Hi All, Spent this snowy NY day attempting to work on my first armor set. Tomorrow I am planning on modifying all of the damage (seems likeI went overboard) and hopefully working in the weathering as well

Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Most of the colors looks good, but you might change that yellow by mixing a bit of orange, not too much, just enough to tone down that color. And because you are doing the ESB armor, you should know that the right chest plate, the center diamond, the collar plate and the back plate don't have the yellow scratch:

You can find the ESB armor stencils here.
Keep up the great work!
Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
thanks rafal, I can't believe I did that to the right chest piece and to think I was using a template... I was planning on overspraying some dark or Tie-in brown to pull it back together. I'll airbrush over some orange too. thanks again

Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Looks good, who made the armor, RKD?
Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Looks like my chest armor...the cod is definitely not mine though
Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Not sure. I hate to admit, it was evilbay purchase when painting fett armor seemed to daunting for me to take on. He would paint them up for a price and obviously it never even came close to the pics I was shown. So I stripped them down and started from scratch.. I have regretted ever since. I still need to track down a butt plate to match the travesty of a cod piece. .. This weekend I plan on airbrushing/dirtying it up the armor and the suit. Fingers crossed
RDK is their a way I can check to see if this guy is recasting you?
Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
Well it would be somewhat difficult, but not impossible.
The only real way to tell would be to have each in your hand to compare. I looked a lot closer at this and compared it to some shots of mine and I don't think it's a recast. The dents on the ab plate on mine are placed differently than yours...among other subtle differences on the chest plates (size, shape, etc). It's close enough to make me think it was mine at first glance, but I'm fairly certain that it's not ;)
Re: First attempt at ESB Fett Armor
RKD, That's good news.
I temporarily placed the armor down the other day. Here's the pic/thread (that also made me realize I need a new camera.)
