Finally started gauntlet sculpts

After taking some laser measurements of Boba's gauntlets from the London Exhibition I've finally started work on the sculpts.

I'm really up against it (time wise) with these, i'll be displaying my finished Boba at a 2 day exhibition in October so I'll need to finish these sculpts, make the moulds, make a copy and paint them up

I'm really pleased with the progress so far...

Looking good so far. What kind of clay are you using?

Wow! Lookin' good, bro!

I'm using 'Chavant Le Beau' which is a very soft, oil based material and non drying. I've made a mould of this piece and now have a resin copy which I can add the detailing.

Well thats more of my cash going to BM.

I think the start is looking great but I probably wont get a set because they probably wont fit me.

I may well be doing an ESB version, let's see how these turn out first.

Here's a few I've just picked off my site. Since these were taken I have finished both shells of the right gauntlet and I am now about to start work on the side details (where the hoses are attached).

wow nice work here one day i will get my hand one one of these sets

The right gauntlet is almost complete. I wasn't happy with all the hose connectors that I sourced from various stores, they were all slightly too short, fat, or long so I sculpted it from scratch.
