ESB Shoulder Spikes

Hi, can someone please let me know if a metallic spray would be ok for painting the 4 shoulder spikes on top of the shoulder armor. thxs

The general consensus is that the shoulder studs are white (read about the debate here ==> ESB Shoulder Studs/ White? or Silver?), but there is one with a red top (as sleepalot said) which is changing its position from time to time; there was also a grey stud that appeared only in the hallway scene. This is still up for debate. I'm in the camp of white shoulder studs.

I say white as well. My studs are white mac keyboard keys... I like movie accuracy.
