ESB left gauntlet "flamethrower" HELP!

apparently i am a noob.
I need help on the ESB flamethrower

1. what color(s) is the backing plate?
2. how do I determine the correct position of the flamethrower on the backing plate?

3. anyone have good pic of the real deal?

I don't know if this is an accurate position, but that's the only thing I have (Made by WoF aka Alan):

Looks like the upper part is a darker colour if not black and the lower colour a silver/grey?

here's what i have;

Heres how mine looks. Still not sure if thats right though. We just don't have good enough pics of it to say for sure. For your setup, I would paint the inner thick plate black, then paint everything else, (the thinner plate with all the bent tabs & 2 legs) silver. At least it looks like thats the way it should be to me.

The bigger (bottom) plate is silver. The smaller (top) plate is black. I'm looking for the position

i meant the whole base part was silver
now, about the placement...

and another question for you damien, how did you determine the darker portions of your gauntlets needed to be darker?

Placement is a bit tougher. Looks like you have the same FT that I do..which IMO, is just a tad on the short side, but it still looks dang good!!!

Golly...I think I painted these in 04 or 05. LOL So...I'm kinda fuzzy on why I did that??? Guess I musta saw some evidence in pics somewhere??? Don't have all my pics at work. Will look when I get home.

The only diference is that mine is .gif and Gav's is .jpg The question is still there, why?
